Reality check ... there are no viable alternate fuel sources.
If there were they would have been exploited already.

Do what you wish with your taxes if your actually in the dwindling percentage of American whom actually pay taxes instead of consuming them.

Leave mine alone ... please.

Back in the 80's there was a feller here in El Paso by the name of Tom Ogle. He had developed a carburetor and fuel system that could get a car an avergae of about 100 mpg (So the story goes). The process also yielded low tempatures through some kind of refrigeration process, whereby you could run a fan over the tank and get adequate natural AC into the car. Well, a few weeks after the announcement of his development, wouldnt yo know, he fell victom to 'suicide' Coincidence? Hell no I think Not...

The point is evern with viable alternatives, ready to exploit...The oil corp and US GOV dont want us to have it... It would ruin that little gravey train they have, goin on in the WH

Oh don't tease me.. lol

NJ is a hellhole full of the most competitive people I've ever seen.
The tri-state area is putting up a new TV station for gladiatorial combat only and the show will be called either "dog eat dog" or strong eat the weak". I haven't decided yet. lol

Not even "evil big oil" can suppress a secret that would net unlimited wealth and power.

My 2 cents: Oil is not evil.
Oil is the lifes blood of most economies.
Soon it will be running through the veins of America and WE will
enjoy the wealth that Saudi Arabia and others have for decades.
I would give you a stock tip but that would be looked at as stupid.
Instead I will give you a catagory and you do the research yourself.

SHALE OIL

Mr. Haley should know what I am talking about because there are
boom towns as a result of it near him.
There are 1.5 trillion barrels of oil under our feet that is just now being
pulled in meaningful amounts. Once the techniques are perfected
that oil will put you, me and America back on top.
Bet on it![/b]

I know exactly what you are talking about Klug. Boomtowns are springing up around that area! Also I'll give you a tip. I have a friend that is VERY high up in the biggest oil co. in the world! They are planning some new chemical plants!
In spite of the current administrations ANTI oil co. agenda and propaganda this country and Texas WILL recover. One thing I'll reiterate is that Oil is a commodity bought and sold on the WORLD MARKET! Crude oil is the raw material for a LOT of products we consume as a modern civilization. The cost of crude is going up because of the speculation that Iran will close the Straight of Hormuze and It just cost more to get out of the ground. Transporting oil in other ways that are more cost effective (keystone pipeline) would help keep the cost of a gallon of gas down.

FYI the reason gas cost more during the summer is because the EPA has set a different standard regarding VOC's and protecting the environment. There is a winter mix and a summer mix. Have you ever noticed the difference in odor while pumping gas? Next time you fill up make a mental note of what the gas smells like. They are getting ready to start in a month or so making the summer mix. The additives that are required for the summer mix are MORE EXPENSIVE and it cost more to refine the summer mix. That is one of the reasons gas cost more during the summer.

Retrieving this shale oil is much, much different than shallow pool oil.
It takes many other industries to support it Rail Road, Trucking, and
they need water, sand and Co2. Also trained drill crews to name a few.
Over the next 7 years we will witness the recovery of America.

Plus, I hear tell that Houston has no zoning laws - or very few.
You can turn your house into a music club, and people either wont care or they cant do anything about it - even if it's right next to a police station.

It might be chaotic living, but some would look at it as freedom.

What stops me from texas is heat, humidity, wild hogs, rattlers and killer bees.

Its true... I lived in a suburban styl apt unit, and was surrounded by 30 story bank and oil buildings outta nowhere. Just around the corner was a club (The Agora Ballroom) with great Acts like David Bowie, Bad Finger, Billy Idol, etc... And Here I was trying to water my plants and trim up the ivy that grew everywhere...
