I Second that Motion... If you ever get a chance, head on down to Fredericks berg and hit up any one of the dozen german restauraunts...They make killer Kraut and the sausages are to die for....

My fathers family were German immigrants ( legal damn it ) into South / Central Texas.

Good food, good beer, and tight family bonds were and to some degree still are hallmarks of the region.


They came the mastered the language and identified themselves as AMERICAN.
Not some hyphenated bastardized bullshit name.
Some fought against their own relatives in two world wars to be free.
I have a tremendous respect for those folks.
