Hoof & mouth disease, yeah, I get that. Sometimes it involves my fingers. Yesterday I saw a CL job posting of a job I was laid off from last January. I was told at the time of dismissal "For Lack Of Work". I called the number not posted but still had and talked to the manager, despite knowing the BS in the ad (such as no sleeping in the truck, and home nightly). He said he could not rehire me because I was let go because I was slow. I Did all the driving of a 2 man team, the other -my superior. He slept as I drove. Often in 3 states with 3 to 4 assignments a day. Location wise, we were always a step ahead of schedule. My ass was always in the seat, truck pre- tripped, warm and ready to roll, and would wait for my superior to get out of the hotel for 2 to 3 hours. Often, machines could not have been assembled without the tools I purchased out of pocket with the tools provided. On one of the last jobs, I unloaded the truck of all the machines while the "superior" was supposed to be assembling machines. I then had to load the truck with 12 500 lb machines being replaced, which involved stacking treadmills. After that, I put together a leg press before the sup. finished his, which he did not complete. I told that manager of these things, and that if he were to tell any prospective employer I was slow, that I would come to speak with him personally about my speed.
