Felicity, BandMix restricts me from saying certain things, so I am going to say this nicely.

I do not like you, you are a mean, and condescending, person. All you do is slam people for not believing what you do. People have a right to believe what they want, regardless of what you think they should believe. Your facts are worth crap, even after reading them I still have my beliefs.

We all hold the right to believe what we want, and you are not God, so you cannot say different.

Be a nice guy for once, huh? Let people feel the way they want.

Felicity, I do not care what you believe, and I do not want to force my beliefs on you. You want drugs to be legal? Fine. You want to think that Christianity and all other religions are bull? So be it. I do not care, believe what you want.

That means nothing to me. But you are very insulting, telling others off because we do not feel like you do. You just did it again, "your brain is susceptible to brainwashing." That is not nice man, just because I feel different does not mean I am brainwashed. It just means I have a different philosophy on life.

Damn, I do not like when people who act like you come on boards and insult people. Things can be handled in a rational manner without assaulting others. So why don't you try it out?

Last I looked, Felicity, I am not on the Congressional Panel, so I cannot decide what happens in this world. All of my opinions are just that, opinions, period.

When I said I "smelt burning" I was saying the religion discussion is going to spark major controversy and I did not want to be involved (Which sadly I am now).

Once more, I am not forcing my beliefs onto you. I do not care what the Hell you believe, I cannot say it any clearer than that. I was saying how I felt on the situations at hand, that was it.

I cannot control what the Congress does, I am not a politician, so my words are just words.

You have every right in the world to believe what you do, every right. I would fight for you to have the right to say it, just as I would for anyone else here. Just as SanshouHeil said.

I think religious arguments can cause major feuds, almost more than anything. Apparently it is going to bring about more feuds, I know someone else is going to explode about it.

So anyhow, there is no one forcing you to believe what I do. As it is, I believe this country is a major f*ck up, there are just portions I see as alright, which I have already express by this point.

Everyone wants to spew their views on here, which is fine, but in the real world or "reality" as you put it there is an election coming up. We can tap dance on keyboards and write songs all day long but in the end it means nothing.

Christianity is NOT based on Pagan beliefs.

It can be said though that many Christian principles are harmonious with Pagan ones, and it is a fact that the Christ story has mytho-historic precedents in Osiris, Mithras and others.

Paganism is polytheistic, meaning belief in more than one God.

Not entirely true. There are Pagan paths that are distinctly monotheist, in fact one right here in town that proclaims faith in Diana (Aphrodite) alone and they deny all others (sound familiar?) Also, Druidism is not really polytheistic as many think it is. The Druids saw all "Gods" (actually demi-Gods if you want to get technical) as expressions of one Creator, they referred to as "Celi". Some historians say this is largely why so many Druids made the easy walk over to monotheist Christianity back in the old days.

Christianity is monotheistic, meaning belief in one God. Save us the "you believe in 3 Gods" rap. No, we don't. ALL reference sources call Christianity monothestic. We call ourselves monothestic. It is fact.

Many Christians refer to the "Three in One" which acknowledges three celestial beings that are seen as one - Father, Son, Holy Ghost. But remember the Gnostic Christians saw The Holy Ghost (often referred to her in the feminine, "Sophia" Mother of Knowlegde) as a seperate entity from God the Father. Some modern Christians today even proclaim Jesus as "God". Mormons used to believe that Jesus was the God of the Old Testament.

And interestingly enough, this is another indication of Christianity springing from much older belief forms, because the Virgin Birth is an idea that greatly precedes Christianity. "God births himself" is an idea that goes all the way back to the ancient Egyptians and the primordial Creator "Atum"

The term "Pagan" is a pejorative (meaning an insult). Not only is it an insult, but it is an insult that CHRISTIANS made up. So don't go claiming that we "are", what we have insulted. K? And yes, pagans happily call themselves, the insult we applied to them. It is identical to black people calling themselves the "N" word, though it is a pejorative made up by white people. So yes, Irminsul is basically calling himself the "P" word, like brothers in the ghetto use the "N" word. Pretty self-deprecating of him, isn't it? LOL

Craig that is entertaining, but flat out wrong. Pagans do NOT use that term as a retaken pejorative or slur. They use it proudly and out of deference to many of their ancestors who were Pagan (because those beliefs at one time were of course the mainstream religion).

Believe me if you had spent as many years in tight communion with Pagans as I have, you'd know the last thing in the world they would want to do is knowingly label themselves with a slur. They can get very adamant about the worth of their ways and don't take that stuff lightly.

This, to me, looks like what I was saying before about people believing what they want to.

If you stick your nose too far up someone's ass, they are bound to blow you back out again and you know they won't be happy at all about it.

IN short, quit preaching. You aren't a Pastor and no one here is part of your flock.

If those that believe want to believe, shut up. If those that don't believe don't want to believe, shut up.
