Last December we actually had a snow that rivalled the great snow of 1970 I think about 4 inches accumulated and it just perilized the entire greater Houston area. I'm serious, the terrain here in H-town is flat we are a bunch of flatlanders but there are overpasses and interchanges that have bridges everywhere. Now you mix snow with a bunch of flatlanders and you get pandamonium. I didn't even try driving to work that day untill all that snow (interject sacasm here) melted around 10:AM

4inches, should I be serious,nah don't think so.I thought everything in Texas was supposed to be big. In N.Y. girls don't want to hear about 4 inches. Everyone take it from there.[Open interpretations accepted.]

Is this thread about Americans needing to learn to drive?

It's been awhile since I stopped by, & I've quite forgotten, but if that is the gist of this thread, I must concur. Americans don't learn to drive well at all.

I talked to a european about this once, & he told me it's cuz Americans, while having the best roads in the world, aren't allowed to drive on them. We're way too concerned about trivialities like speed, brakes, road signs, car inspections & such. I agree with him.

Actually Philby, I hijacked my own thread. A thread about illegal aliens was getting a bit to serious and I thought it was time for a change. An old man once told me if you want to start an argument just discuss politics or religon. I was just venting about Houston Police being murdered while on duty at the hands of illegal aliens and the crime we are experiencing at the hands of the MS-13 gangs that are taking over down here in Houston that apparently hasn't effected the rest of the U.S. as of yet. As a result of the thread the debate got a little heated so lets talk about something else.

Like Obama asking for "volunteers" to police the US Mexican Boarder?
Or the sudden influx of "refugees" expected from south america by years end?

The MS-13 gangs are robbing all of the pawn shops down here. A couple of weeks ago I was getting the old mullet touched up (seriously) and some lady I had never seen before stuck her head in the establishment to let the owner know she was allright and her buisness would be re-opening soon. Out of curiosity I asked what happen and she told me the MS-13 gangs were coming up from Mexico and South America (I have been hearing alot about this lately) and that they had robbed her store and were hitting all the pawn shops because they keep lots of cash on hand so not only are they dealing in drugs mayhem and murder they also are robbing. Before all the hateing on me starts I'll let ya'll know this lady was Hispanic.

Our shop was cased numerous times in the time I worked there. I would look up now and again and wink at them and smile.
At one of our gigs, a guy recognised me from the store.
As I walked past I heard him tell the patrons around him.
"Thats the guy from the pawn shop that carries the big ass revolver all the time, I'll bet he's got it under that shirt! "
All my bandmates could do was laugh and smile.

I hate to always be the pesamist but it looks like more bait and switch or delay tactic to me.
It has always been illegal to employ illegal aliens. Whats to investigate?
What we need is inforcement of the law.
But that would be just too simple. Beside eliminating millions of potential voters for the next election cycle.
