No, it does not count, Irminsul. It means you have a hole in your soul and are going to Hell, and your wife is an Angel and going to the highest place in Heaven. I will probably see you in Hell since I am not a major blues fan, I guess I have a tiny hole in my heart. Oh well. I hear they do not have harsh winters down there... At least it will be warm.

yes it looks like heaven is reserved for the robert johnsons and bb kings of this world...where does poor old kurt cobaine or all the rest of us non 100% "id give my life for the blues... man" types end up...awash is a sea of heartless, soulless,sub-human waste, boiling on a spit of fire being f**k ed in the ass by hitler and forced to listen to that "rockstar" song by that worderfull (giggle) band nickleback on a loop...yes convert to the blues or suffer an afterlife of extreme pain...and nickleback...scary f**k in sh*t.

I like blind boy fuller. Talk about coordinated fingers! He was kind of base with his lyrics though. I think SRV played the rock/blues better than anybody by such a long shot that nobody else needs to play it anymore. I get quite bored if I hear more than one straight blues tune. However almost all music has a heavy blues influence and blues melodies are in much of my favorite music and in my music.

Even Irish Anthony has a blues influence. The main repeating melody in the verses of Lasarus (which should be spelled Lazarus unless he's naming another person) is firmly rooted in the blues. The harmonies on the versus of Lasarus are tasty too. If anybody here hasn't listened to IA's trax I recommend them. They are the most credible, big league songs I've heard here. The intro and choruses in the song "time and money" sound like Imperial Teen (the band started by the keyboardist from faith no more) and the verses remind me of garbage. he's a pretty good vocalist too. The last track's guitar work is reminiscent of STP, but the constant distorted vocals wear thin. I think that is best reserved for occasional accents not a constant thing. His diversity definitely appeals to me though.

I agree, Irish Anthony has a lot of talent. Best song on there of his is "Punch Drunk." Really good, and like I said before, sounds like STP.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

I started out playing the blues so basically I was born without sin. I was also one of those SRV wannabees and I worshipped the ground that Clapton stood on. At the age of 13 that's the reason you picked up a guitar because you heard someone or some song that inspired you but in time you develop your own sound. I still love to sit in my room and play SRV Style blues.

Well, since you started out playing blues, you are off to Heaven. But I am still damned, lol. I really like SRV's stuff, but the problem is it is too complex for me to play right now. Maybe I should not say complex, I should say it would take me too long to practice and learn right now. His version of "Little Wing" is a great version, but way too tricky for me to learn at this time.

As far as blues goes and 60's style music, Clapton is God to me still. I love Eric Clapton's stuff. I am working now on making my own sound, which is a Middle Eastern sound. Most of the stuff I write uses a lot of open notes and has a very fascinating vibe about it.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

cheers for the kind words neanderpaul it means alot to me and sorry about the spelling of lasarus but the thing is im dyslexic(i really am,no pun intended) you may have noticed from some of my blogs, its no big deal i can read and write perfectly but i have trouble with certain letters like b and d and stuff like that, its quite common but not to be confused with being dumb as most people think, some of the greatest creative minds of our time were dyslexic and i wouldnt want it any other way, i mean if i wasnt i wouldnt be me :D .

I reversed numbers for a short time when I was young. No big deal. I would rather have some limits in other areas and be talented for sure. On another note regarding your profile your avatar pic looks big league too!

Guitaranatomy, " Little Wing " was one of the songs I could never get right. I did record an acoustic version about 4 years ago and then gave up. The sound quality is bad but you can hear my feeble attempt I just posted. Or just click on my Profile.

Wow, feeble attempt? Dude, sounds fine to me. Yeah, it is not perfect. But the fact you can get that close it astounding. Thumps up, man.

I have tried more than one version of this song (Since there are a billion) and I have never accurately pulled off one. It is a pain in the neck.

By the way, nice soloing on the electric. I could only improvise that, I could never memorize the patterns that are used in that song, way too many.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.
