Thanks, jookeyman. I got deeper into your tunes yesterday. It was like going from jazz to Zappa to outer space!

Your jazz stuff reminds me of this.

Trevor plays bass for a lot of my favorite bands.
He added stand up bass to my number one band and it was crazy!

Excellent! You know exactly what I'm talking about. I saw Trio Convulsant open for Fantomas. Great seeing him play two genre's? In one evening. I'm a huge Mr Bungle fan, but I've been listening to them since they came out when I was in high school.
Planet Guy gigs a lot over the weekend, so he might not be back online till Sunday, Monday morning.

Started working on a song tonight based on Mark's chord progressions, had to add some different parts though to spark it up a notch. Might be able to get to recording later today. So busy these days.

"busy"???? there (still) ain't nearly enough hrs in the day! i'm feeling kinda sheepish about suggesting this and putting this task before everyone when i still haven't weighed in w one of my own versions. hopefully this week.

it's a 4 gig wkend for me so it ain't gonna happen for a few days.

mike....looking fwd to hearing what you come up with.

btw....i drove two hrs to St Louis yesterday before my truckstop gig to pick up a new (old) gtr. cool old Guild and bummer of bummers...i didn't even get to play it last night as i was on bass. our lead gtrst played it for our last set and man....he sounded killer on it.

more info and a pic or two in "New guitar day" thread.

Did you get to listen to my crap?
I uploaded the second take again and I dedicated it to you.
Not too bad for 5 years without practice & a bum fretting hand.

First track on my BM player: Miss Mexico. (true story). First time in a long while I have tracked and mixed a song from start to finish in one day. Lots of tweaking to do, of course, specially on the drum track. Tomorrow I'm off to Cape Cod to do chores for my 83-year-old mom, so won't be back to this one for a while.

V1
Sweetness and innocence
But much more behind a pretty face
Hidden intelligence
Kept quietly in its place

V2
Admiral ambitions
Become a giver, not a taker
Forget inhibitions
Please watch out for the faker

P-C
Do you miss your family?
Do you miss when life was care –free?

Ch
Miss Mexico
Do you feel alone
Do you miss your home
Do you, Miss Mexico

V3
Tried to warn you
That you were a little naïve
You wouldn’t listen
Until that night he made you leave

Prechorus
Chorus

Br
Hard to hide behind a mask
When your life has crashed
I’ve been trying to help you
But you won’t let me through

Chorus
