Thanks for the welcome! No worries I'm used to grouchy old guys, I have a pretty thick skin, and I'm USUALLY pretty tolerant of most. :)
And thanks for checking out my music. Glad you enjoyed it!

My current weapon of choice is a Seagull S6+ acoustic/electric. I have owned and gigged with this guitar for 12 years and this year has been mostly acoustic gigs in small combos and intimate settings allowing others to lead and sing while I just focus on 6 little strings. Last year I was full steam ahead doing classic rock at larger venues and would not have predicted this turn of events. Music happens.

I also have a handful of electric guitars from Gibson and Fender with a 2003 Tele being a current favorite. She just sings with a marvelous voice.

I love teles and when I come back in my next life as a guitar player, a tele will be my weapon of choice! :)

George,

Nice Axes. I like the white top Paul.

Are you doing a poor mans "G" bender with that finger behind the nut? I used to do some of that. I didn't spend the time to get very proficient at it but it was a nice pedal sound for a slow song. I slid Teflon coating from Teflon 24 gauge wire on my G, B. and E strings before I wrapped them so the strings wouldn't cut into my finger. My problem was that my arthritis wouldn't let me easily position my finger where it was easiest to bend the string, that being about 3/4 of an inch behind the nut.

I also managed to obtain palm pedal. It is styled after a Bigsby, but it has two arms that can be used for any two of the three unwrapped strings. That also turned out to be a problem to master since I finger picked most of the time. When you released them one at a time (especially in a "C chord) it really did sound like a pedal steel.

Nah . . . that's just a quickly posed E for the photo my wife shot in our living room.
I do most of my bends with one finger.
I know it's not "the approved method" but what the hell.
Twenty years of doing finger tip push ups got to be good for something.
