I could be wrong, but I think maybe YOD was trying to say that he US (beacon of Freedom) was at one time perceived as the Beacon Of Freedom... The Statue of Liberty , alone, alludes to that Ideology.. In any case, he's right...The world did at one time look up to the US...We were considered the pinnacle of human progress... and except for a fe jealous countries, we were highly regarded. Now, we get spit upon at every turn...

There are two things happening that guarantee the demise of the USA (as we knew it in the context of beacon of freedom'

1) The breakdown of our moral compass. Lets face it, There are hookers in India who have more self discipline than much of our US Leadership.

2) The marketing of Christian Dogma and subsequent rejection of Christian Dogma. When you whack the people on the tip of their sensitive moral compasses, the entire nation loses bearing and orientation, abandons and loses base-reference...
When you add periphial elements , such as politics, Corp Orgs, who impose self interest on an enterprise level, you get a country who is now diseased, laid up in bed and is about to engage in life -support measures.

Add to that, the infections that start in... Like opposing religion, which by default, follows through with nature's dictum,(Nature abhors a vacuum)

If you plug in Islamic or Zen or whatever other tenets, this necessarily demands a change e in the constitution/hence USA dogma.

Islam in particular wants to embed its subset of its own tenets and subsequent laws (Sharia) , under the umbrella of constitutional protection. To achieve that, the constitution must be changed at its DNA level.
