learning the blues scale will help .. it is in key of C major as example but can be transposed to any key:
C - D#- E#-F#-G-A#- and using your circle of 5ths you can find the notes for any key.. tonic / 3 semi-tones/whole tone/ semi- tone/ semi-tone/3 semi-tones/whole tone

actually I should have said e flat instead of D# since a minor is a flatted third but the notes are enharmonic and I got my point across, but in reality the true theorists say there is no such thing as a TRUE blues scale.. microtonal is the fascinating subject though.. get into neat elements of music when you start messing with glides and notes LESS THAN semi-tones

If you talk the theory/numbers side of music, you will forever have an audience.

It may not be who you want it to be, but undoubtedly it will be musicians in general because musical theory in general is very much like mathematics.

Either you get it or you don't and there are very few tutors that care enough to become effective in general, paid or unpaid.

I had a composition class in college where we started a long discussion about the circle of 5ths and when i asked a seemingly innocuous question about the guitar scale, the professor wrinkled his nose and glossed over it, like he was too busy to make my poor little brain understand.

Long story short, I dropped his class and made an appointment during his office hours.

He divulged to me that he wasn't interested in making all my questions go away and I outright told him he was a lousy prof and the only question that was not worth asking was "what box of crackerjack he got his credentials from".

He then asked me to leave, I made a quick move to smooth my hair back and he flinched. I laughed and told him "that's what I thought".

Classes are not bad because of the material, they are bad when you get a teacher that cannot teach.

. I've been in classes where there was a student who became the teacher. Just because somebody is a professor doesn't mean they are qualified.

You can beat on me as much as you want, but when you take cheap shots at regular people, you are looking to have your face bashed in.

"Dose" make that clear to even you, Clarks-Burg>?

You feeling froggy>? Hmm Mr. 51? Fancy a fist in your mouth?

Or you a bigger pu**y than originally imagined? (and that'd be hard)

I bet you'd do a lot of crying before I was done with what's left of you.
