Here are some other factors to consider in my search for these music buddies:

If I did find someone at these so called bars and clubs and coffee shops, you've got to consider the following:

1. I would need to be able to hear him play some of the songs I'm working on, and see how well his music knowledge is. Experience playing music with others is not necessary. In fact, the less experience playing in bands, the better.
2. Since I'm legally blind, and cannot drive, he would need to be willing to come pick me up in most instances when we want to hang out.
3. I'm trying to reach those who are free to hang out during the afternoon, and have it be a once a week or twice a week activity.
4. Since my parents house isn't the best place to play, the guy in question would need to provide a more suitable music room. This can even be a bedroom, but with a lot more space.
5. I would need to reach guys who don't have a jam packed schedule or responsibilities, like kids to take care of, a wife/girlfriend who he HAS to spend the majority of his time with, a full time job or full time college courses that take up a good portion of his day.

I've GOT IT Glambertinelli!!!!

Buy six blowup dolls, dress them up like Madonna, Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, and Whitney Houston then have an imaginary jam session followed up by a group orgy!!!

Now, that sounds like a winner!!

I'm not real sure but I think what everyone really wants to know is....

You did NOT ask an honest question. You were about to tell me what people thought, and then you decided to be a jerk and throw the very questions back at me.

Respondents to this post need to put a lot more effort into their posts and use good judgements and wisdom, rather than coming on here to just poke fun or make rude jokes and judgements. How would you like it if I did that to you, which I'm NOT sinking to by the way? I know better than to do that, and I was raised better.

Think about what you JUST said there and how stupid that sounds. And besides that, those artists you just listed are JUST a few of the artists I'm into covering. Think about the fact that I want to get together with a few guys around my age and LEARN some new skills and LATER depending on how things go, put some kind of official project, whether it's a small collaborative effort or possibly a band. Right now, though, I'm looking for a few (individual) GUY musicians, who play keyboard or guitar. I want to focus more on keyboard players, because I would like to learn how to create electronic stuff. For example, songs that range from tracks like Into The Groove by Madonna, For Your Entertainment by Adam Lambert, to ballads like Live To Tell by Madonna, Crush by David Archuleta, and Fireflies by Owl City.

If this was your idea of a sick joke, you should be ashamed of that. You knew that was wrong when you posted that, but you STILL won't quit. What is your problem?

I just came here to talk to a few amateurs and intermediate level musicians who share more of my tastes in music to learn about where good pop and soft rock is more popular in my area so I can start my search for these special music buddies fresh.

I did NOT come here to have a repeat of the stupidity that I encountered on places like Baton Rouge Rocks.

Keep in mind that I'm not trying to find these music buddies DIRECTLY through this site, but rather indirectly, by talking to a much wider variety of different members. Members who are willing to go the extra mile with me and WORK with me instead of getting all bent out of shape when I HONESTLY explain WHY I can't or don't want to do what's suggested, because of various factors that I pointed out in previous posts.

Why are so many people on here (and on previous sites like Craigslist and Baton Rouge Rocks) able to think only one way? The business/gigging/touring/working musician standpoint, and easily resort to making stupid jokes when the person in question CANNOT help any further?

It's important to note that the bulk of the replies started in 2007 and 2008, and came from individuals who sounded promising, but who I had to turn down due to things like NOT having enough skill or enough passion for good pop and soft rock music as a whole or those who were TOO skilled and had WAY too mcuh experience playing in other bands and thus wouldn't have had a schedule that allowed the time to work on songs.

Also a lot of these individuals who initially responded were ALSO individuals who regularly go out to bars, and clubs to get drunk or who do drugs, and who are still in their messing around stage, rather than your more conservative individuals who do play music, but are somewhat nerdy and thus try to do more wholesome activities.

Sorry if there's a lot above to digest, and might be a little overwhelming to some of my readers. If there's anything that's confusing you or offended anyone, SPEAK up, but at the same time, be nice about it.

Sir, I read the question and it comes off as sarcastic.

Also I am NOT a troll. I am very careful when I'm talking to people online, and I put a lot of effort into my posts, and try my best to view my posts as if I'm one of my readers.

If I do happen to say something that comes off as offensive or if I'm being annoying in some way, tell me what I'm doing wrong so I can correct my mistake or apologize.
