Tax breaks don't create jobs. It's a patently stupid idea, really.
Customers create demand which creates jobs.
I firmly believe the tax code needs to be much more just. Giving out tax breaks has not created jobs and will not create jobs. Until there are jobs, our economy will continue to suffer.
This isn't corporations being evil. This is corporations doing the intelligent thing with the laws as they are. The laws as they are cannot help but place an unreasonable burden on middle class households. Note that I did not say "poor" households. I'm more concerned about people who are responsible, productive people who are still unable to support their families.

What I'm saying is that one dollar more has already been levied on diesel fuel per each gallon, as it was not 10 years ago. That was the second hit the trucking industry has been targeted in a major way that I know of in my lifetime. I don't know exactly (or don't remember) how they did it in the '70s, but an owner op went from wealthy to bust. Drivers were selling their trucks, and continuing their lively hood by working for the big boys. Why ,you say am I picking on the oil companies? The nightly news may be the blame for that, as that they report what the oil companies are making- Billions, far more than their costs. I would like to know if it's possible for a single gallon of crude could make it to the consumer without sometime being on a truck. When you have a hand full of the richest in an industry, Shell, BP, and so on, it is at their best interest to come together in agreement on what they will stand for being levied against them. When you have hundreds and hundreds of thousands of working class truckers across the nation, it is impossible to bring them together in one room to say "We ain't takin' it no more!" An even tax on everyone makes the tax codes simple. We could easily see who's getting the breaks. We the people could say "We ain't takin' it no more!" Everyone has a fair share to pay, then if those whom are making good wants to do well for communities, who would stop them? Who could complain? There is a cohesiveness to gum, maybe we should all learn it's wisdom and send it to Washington.

I'm glad that person was elected. I believe that as a republic we are probably finished - all over but the dying. But having that thing in DC has been good - all the cards are on the table. That gives people who love freedom at least a chance.
I heard somebody say yesterday 'that bunch should be arrested and tried for treason." Sure...by whom? "that bunch" owns all those paramilitary militias like ATF, SWAT,Acorn, Unions etc... We're in big trouble.
It's 1860 again and God help us all. Shermans bandits will look like angels compared this current crop of scoundrels.

Sherman was wonderful, he gave those traitors, the Confederacy, just what they deserved. Lincoln should have deported the surviving Confederates and shipped them all to Australia and recruited more Colonist from your ancestral European homeland
..... we wouldn't have half the problems we have today.

1. No one is giving women any kind of business loan of $250K unless they have collateral or their business has shown some type of profit for at least 3-5 years. SCORE and the Small Business Administration will tell you that. Those spam e-mails you get are usually predator lenders and you won't get anywhere near $250K. Maybe at one time they were throwing out free money to women and minorities, but it hasn't been in the last 15 years. I couldn't get one for squat with my business, from the government or investors. As far as grants go, unless you're forming a nonprofit company or something which will benefit the community in some way, educating kids or teaching music to lepers, you won't see any money if you're just forming a regular retail business. I'm sure there may be a way, but you have to spend long hours of research or pay companies between $500 - $1,000 to prepare the grant and business plan for you. I don't know any poor people who have the money for that. My friend (who is white and not on welfare) worked her butt off just to squeeze $50K from investors for her business she's forming, which means she has to scramble to show them some numbers soon. Not worth the stress IMO. Most of the women I know who have regular businesses used their own savings, inheritances, alimony and so on to fund their businesses. Not free government money.
2. I don't know of any substantial tax write-offs for being a minority. The write offs I get is because I own a business and I know the tax laws, plus I have a very good accountant. Being a minority, isn't one of them.

And don't get me started on NASA. If it is insignificant, then why are we scheduled to pay them $160 billion in the next 5 years? I'm not going to dream that tax breaks will come at the pump, lest I get hit with the dream tax. I got it! Let's tax aircraft fuel by adding $1 to every gallon and hope that solves our problems! We'll call it the Glen (one N) saves America tax! Any one going any where will pay more, just like the costs of everything you buy to cover trucking will go up because of it! VOTE NOW!
