Dayne - since I was the most-recent person to point out the tuning/intonation issue - in your 'Ugly Duckling' thread - are you pointing your finger at me? (I notice no reply on that thread)
I may have tinnitus, but I don't have a tin ear, in fact, I have pretty close to perfect pitch hearing (just sucky vocal ability to match it!) - my father did have PP. I use electronic tuners on my guitars to get them in 'concert tuning' range but then tweak a little so that the guitar is close as it can be in different places along the neck. As I said in a different thread, the G & B strings are the usual culprits that if one only tunes via a tuner (or pitch pipe) or by using the 5th/4th fret method, then its usually not as closely tuned as it could be.
