I wouldn't kill Dayne, but I could whack him over the head with a socket wrench right about now.

Dayne, it seemed like I was accountable to you or Mark or someone the way you asked that question. It's a completely voluntary exercise and Mark only unveiled it 2 weekends ago. That's not a lot of time in my world. I can only set up and record one day a week. Last Sunday I took my kid to the last Diamondbacks game of the season instead. It hurts, but I have to make sacrifices like that. I'm sure a scripture quoting guy like you can understand that. I need to have something to do with my kid now, because soon he'll be heading away from me in every way he can be. If you didn't mean anything nasty by asking the question, I believe you. Sorry.
But please. Please. Please. Do not. I repeat, do not. Do your triple post thing after you ask a question. I've seen you do it. It's quite idiosyncratic to you and only you on this forum. If someone doesn't get back to you in five minutes, they'll be along in five hours. Have some patience. We have lives to live. We have other things going on away from a computer and a website. Thanks.

He basically insinuated I should play for less $$ because I was having fun!!

Might have been good to snap right back with, 'yep, and it sure looked like you had a lot more folks here tonite than usual...' But we always think of good retorts well after the fact.

Jook - the correct answer to the guy would be "it takes a lot of work to make it look like fun, because that's what the audience wants to see!"

I am an independent artist, some new comers get caught up in the glory.
If you want to be more than a weekend warrior, don't listen to the hype.

As I said keep your finger on the books.

Guitar Mike makes a good point,a lot of work goes in to making it look like fun,we enjoy playing our
music, but you pay your dues to get to the top, being an artist requires more effort than an ordinary job.
Musicians earn every dollar they make.
