Yep, and it does work in it's own way--and those phased guitars still give it that soaring, other-worldly feel. Both Blue and Thrill Of It All seemed outta character w/ everything else on Country Life, but it was enough to get me to buy it. Wore out the grooves on the wax, but still have a CD copy of it. I've only seen someone do it live once, back when I lived in Columbus. That kinda thing is probably a bit too esoteric for the folks down here.

Hope things are progressing well for you. Sounds like it, anyway.

Btw, just thought about it, but I also have a (rare) CD copy of Detroit--the Mitch Ryder band circa 71-72. They did a great version of Lou Reed's Rock-N-Roll, where Ryder borrowed Steve Hunter and Dick Katz for the guitars. Even Lou said their version is what he had in mind. That's some hard-driving Midwestern rock--bet you guys could kill it.

Ha! How 'bout that! Yep, before my time, good that you still have it posted--like that organ track. When you do this stuff at gigs, are the folks generally younger, or closer to our age group? I would imagine young folks have never heard most of this kinda stuff; do they get it? There was a lot of great music made back-in-the-day, certainly when compared to the stuff they churn out now.
