hey, most have never heard my music either. so what? for the record....i did check out their music. schmed, you're dismissively assuming that their motivation for playing "atheist music" is to be "controversial". could be....or.....maybe they're just using their chosen artform to speak out about that which they believe in.

It's just a little irritating when someone uses an improper definition to describe their viewpoints whether they are Atheist or Theist in this case.

I never said you have a god, I said atheism is a religion. It may be a subtle distinction but religion and faith are not necessarily the same thing. Religion is a system of beliefs that inform your daily life. It doesn't necessarily require a god, like Buddism for example.

You can invite me all you like to investigate the "greatest" prophet on earth, but.. It is technically an assertion based on your interpreted opinion.
Seriously, you can invite people to give Jesus a "chance", but I would *ask* you to not make such remarks like this to me, as I do not have any interest in yours or anyone else's perceived deity.

Actually I was inviting you to investigate a person, so you'd know what and whom you're talking about. I made it pretty clear that you should do it outside the context of religion, or anyone's opinion.

The fact that atheists prefer to be ignorant about the man who affected history more than any other says a lot.

If I said he was the greatest guitar player of all time you'd give him a listen....but if I say He will give you the power to overcome sin (which is destroying you daily).... instead you are afraid of even glancing that direction. Duly noted.

ted....if you needed faith for you to arrive at being a better person... i'd say "well done" for finding something to move you further along. but to me it seems ludicrous to believe that faith is a requirement for everyone to "be all you can be".

of course you "had the power", as does everyone to make good choices.... EVERYONE "has the power" to respect those who deserve it, to treat others as they'd want to be treated, and to be a decent homo sapien.

Please remember not to project your beliefs of "sin" onto me, as I do not beleive in what you do, so it is irrelevant. You are saying that I am afraid, when I implied no such emotion, then made a snarky "duly noted" comment, which seems kind of unnecessary.

"The Truth" is fed through your human mind, thus becoming an interpretation of "The Truth", which then you form your worldview around.. It is technically subjected to instead.. your "Current Understanding".

Seriously...? Your 2 + 2 = 4 analogy fits perfectly into what I am saying.. I said Atheism = a lack of theism.. Yet you call it a religion, even though to be a religion, you must attain Theism..

I could say the same thing for Zeus and any other Gods that man has come up with. You are choosing to ignore the thousands of other sects and religions, and thought yours was the one.. Asserting that it will not change is.. An assertion, and is subjective in itself.. I have already read holy books, and texts and debated plenty on this topic.. I have not chosen to ignore anything. Now you just have a different threshold for evidence than I do.. I know you are not my enemy, and I understand that your philosophy dictates that you tell me to join you. I am not being selfish, I am not being ignorant, I am not telling you that you cannot believe what you want, I am just saying.. You are using a straw man to fight Atheists.. That is all.. And that I do not wish to join you, or anyone else, in regards to just about anything. I am even rethinking looking for a band anyways, lol.

Nobody wants to fight athiests son. But we have a handful of gold coins we'd like to share. You can say 'no' which makes us sad , not mad.

It is impossible for anyone to know God unless he has been called according to that purpose. And of those who are called, few are chosen. As Christians we often try to "convert" others to see things our way, but if God has not quickened the spirit within a man there can be no understanding as to our belief or in what we have to say. Few of my friends are walk the walk Christians and some are even atheists. I was one of the latter most of my life until someone asked me to ask God to reveal himself to me. I just didn't want to end up on the wrong side just in case that spiritual crap was real. I thought it wouldn't hurt me to ask. I did and He did. So it worked out for me.

We all originated from one source, whether you believe in evolution or creation, or even if we were deposited here by a superior race. I will not trash what you believe.
