This topic started off on the right track, I just needed to reach someone who could direct me to some good Open Mics in my area where the music I enjoy is much more popular or some more appropriate message boards where individuals are more respectful of each other and are not so quick to judge.

Oh and if you look it up, People diagnosed with OCPD generall must control the arena in a manner of speaking... (Security)

Again, STOP insulting someone who you don't even know!

Control WHAT arena?

You are making a huge deal out of nothing? I am NOT trying to control anybody, however, I am trying to talk some sense into people like you who like to find somebody who's "different" from you and find a reason to pick on him. Again! I am NOT trying to control ANYONE! I expected to see a lot more well-behaved individuals on here.

I am sorry if some of you guys are annoyed and express that annoyance by insulting me or talking amongst your friends to make yourself feel better. And quit mocking and correcting soemone's post! This topic was intended for individuals who are much smarter and know better than to insult someone and who know how to handle simple missunderstandings better and who won't acuse me of whining. Have enough sense to just MOVE on and give the intended audience a chance to respond.

oh I think I get it now, you are running some kind of a social experiment and we are your guinea pigs per se?

I am doing NOTHING of the sort. If that was the case, it wouldv'e been blatantly obvious. I'm not the kind of guy who likes to sugar coat things, or lies to make people think I'm doing one thing, when it's clearly another. Thanks for what help was provided. I'm sorry things got out of hand.

This holds true on ANY message board or website I sign up. Even on dating sites. Yes. I am VERY thorough on my profile and I do NOT lie and pretend to be someone else.

Depending on what message board I'm on, my activity and persistence level varies. For example, on global/international message boards and websites where people just have casual conversations, I usually try to keep a low profile, i.e. the boards at Adamofficial.com. However, on local message boards and message boards created to talk about music and connect with other musicians, I am usually a little bit more active.

no, you are running a social experiment based on our reactions to your repetitive question about desiring friendship over and over... you are phucking with us and this needs to stop

How many times do I have to tell you? I am NOT running ANY experiment. Why are people on here so quick to throw out wrongful acusations? I am NOT toying with anybody! YOU ARE ONE of the people who decided to respond and got all bent out of shape over nothing!

I was hoping to reach individuals who are much, smarter than you guys. People who were smart enough to read between the lines and realize that I already know the general gist of what I should be doing, but don't know the specifics. In other words, I need to speak with a few guys around my age in Baton Rouge, who can direct me to some good quality Open Mics and music stores within Baton Rouge, and for it to be backed up with experience, provided he was also into more of the same music I enjoy AND not a big time professional musician.

But for ALL of the haters, doubters, trolls and attention seekers on here. I am NOT messing with anyone on here. I am NOT like that. I am truthful and honest, and explicit in the beginning. And I am NOT afraid to ask FURTHER questions to learn MORE!

If you have a problem with me, BE NICE about it, and tell me what exactly I'm doing wrong and thus how to fix it or state my case better.

that answer of yours has been the same reply you have given for weeks now, your reply is always the same.. people have told you time and time again to go to the club district of Baton Rouge and mingle with people..how do you plan on meeting people typing on a keyboard, it's impossible.. I'm not saying you have sinister intentions but do believe you are tallying up our responses to your inane question)s.. which equals a social experiment..

I AM NOT going to the club district of Baton Rouge, because THOSE places are active at night and are dangerous. I'm looking for more intimate hang outs during the daytime, (and no churches are NOT the answer due to the fact that most in my area frown upon secular music, especially music by Madonna, Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston, and even artists as tame as Richard Marx, or Fleetwood Mac.)

How am I supposed to learn about these places with the attitudes I keep running into on here? All I need are a few people to help enlighten me about what's out there in Baton Rouge, even if the respondent has moved out of Baton Rouge. It also helps if it comes from someone who's in his 20s and also likes more of the music I enjoy.

Let's keep this topic free of rude posts, or trollish posts or joking posts and give my intended audience a chance to respond. In other words, those in their 20s who simply go to college and who just happen to play pop and soft rock music, and of course, those who can enlighten me about some good Open Mics in Baton Rouge where pop and soft rock music is popular.

If there isn't anybody like that on this board, then can somebody point me in the direction of some more suitable message board where I can connect with such people and thus learn about some venues in Baton Rouge where pop and soft rock covers are much more popular, instead of the all too common hard rock, heavy metal, and classic rock players?

If that's not possible, don't worry about it. Let's just drop it and get on with our lives.

And thanks for what help was offered.

P.S.: For anyone who wants to continue helping me, please review the first post of this topic, and please send me an e-mail. I won't be responding directly to this topic anymore due to the fact that I'm dealing with difficult people. The first person who responded had some good ideas, but it went downhill after that.

The people currently responding to my post are REALLY getting on my last nerve and NEED to learn when it's time to joke around, and when it's time to be serious. What has happened to the world today? What happened to respecting each other in general and learning to be patient and taking the time to have deep and meaningful conversations. What happened to individuals who are willing to nicely state when something said by another member is confusing or offensive? Dealing with the types of people who responded to my topics is one main reason why I haven't ben able to move forward in my search.
