all i gotta say is I often play my drum machine in real time and if yo uthink that takes any less talent than playing actual drums... your wrong.

In fact one could make the argument that Bethoven had it easy... he didn't have to control velocity and "feel" with his performers... we do (and if you've actually had to accomplish this you'd know how hard it is). We have to work to make them sound human, course he couldn't hear what his staff sounded like... so we're even!
Not to mention that 65% of my midi parts are actually recorded in real time at a keyboard or with my drumpad... it's no dif than audio in that respect.
I don't fear sampling, I don't fear rap, I don't fear midi. But then I'm special (my mom told me so).
