The pay is subpar compared to the alternatives available to anyone capable of being elected president. The president has no normal family life, and neither his spouse nor his children can go anywhere without heavy security. In the average month 500-1000 different individuals threaten to kill you, about 1% of whom are making an actual plan to do so. The president works 70 or 80 hours per week and is on call 24-7. Everything on TV and in the newspaper is about how terrible the president is, why everything he does is wrong, and why he has ruined the nation. In the modern era, 60% is considered an astronomically high approval rating, i.e. the best you can hope for is that only about 120,000,000 Americans will hate you and consider you an abject failure. The odds of leaving office as a ?success? are virtually nil.

Our best and brightest want nothing to do with it. It has become a

I dont believe there is anyone in politics that isnt playing the game.
Rep. Dem. Lib. Unitar. any. Hands are tied and both sides of the isle
wont give an inch. When bills are passed, they have to give up PORK .
So its a win loose every time. You dont hear about most of the PORK.
Thats part of the deal too. Bridges to nowhere are a tip of the iceburg.

Nothing works the way it was designed to work or intended. Taxes,
Wall Street, Health Care, Criminal Justice, Human Rights. Open your eyes and

The best choice is only second best. The Country needs a
political savior. Hell if I know who that is. As bad as it is, our poor children and grand children will suffer more. If you cant see that our
country is heading toward Civil War. Study history and learn the similarities of the past. As human beings we will only tollerate to a point.

i don't believe a civil war is in the offing. There's going to be hundreds of different factions/sides to take. It may be total anarchy but a civil war needs two or three definitive sides to take up arms against. No civil war happening here any time soon, just total confusion.
