Irmy,
J.W. started this post to encourage people to "get out and vote!" I am in agreement with him 100%. I'm not sure if I consider myself a "liberal conservative " or a "conservative liberal" but I've voted in every election (local and national) since as far back as I can remember. I really do believe it's important to do so , no matter what ones political viewpoint may be.

I knew I recognized that name, the second I saw it I thought "Chappaquiddick." I was right, lol. Yeah, so as I said, foolish, if not pathetic.

If not? As in "maybe" it was pathetic?

It was criminal.

Drunk, according to eyewitness accounts, he drove this girl over a narrow bridge. Left her in the sunken car. Claims he tried to swim down to her, then got tired and rested 20 minutes. After his rest, he then went back to his buddies, all of them married, including Ted, and cavorting with single secretaries and such, and he brought his buddies back to the site. They claim they tried to swim down to her, while Teddy stayed in the backseat of the car, but to no avail. They did not report the "accident" until 10 hours later, the next day. Just left her down there, until the NEXT DAY. There was a working phone in the cottage they had rented, but no one reported it until the NEXT DAY.

Teddy, who had been driving that night on a license that had been suspended 5 months earlier, had a series of tickets for bad driving, speeding, etc...

That fact, made the event "Manslaughter" according to the law. Someone, however, "fixed" this little problem in the records office, for Teddy, before trial came.

He got 1 year of probation only. And I think that was for leaving the scene.

So you like Teddy do you? Remember the above. He went back to his hotel that night, changed into dry clothes, and slept, and did not report he had left a girl to die in a submerged car, until the NEXT DAY!!!

*He covers his ears as Craig yells* Whoo, you sing, remember? Your voice is extra loud! By the way, nice vocals on the yelling! It would be good for a new song I am writing in Drop B tuning, called, "Ted Kennedy Is Evil!" Lmao.

Neh, I know what you are saying. I like his views on politics is what I mean, but I do not support what he did back then, that was horrible. We all know the only reason (As was said) that he got off is because of who he is. There is corruption in this world, we cannot change that though.

It was an evil and treacherous act, there is no justification for it.

Face it Craig, politics is politics, period. People are screwed up in the head in those fields. Look at John F. Kennedy, my God that man had more affairs than most rock stars. I support Ted Kennedy's politics, not his personal life.

If it was up to me all of the people in the Congress would be practically saints, but it is not up to me now is it?

So yes, I will take that "if not" back, and say it as it is, he is a pathetic person. He is a drunk, he basically killed a girl, he never tried to save her, he let her body just sit there without reporting it... He got off because he is a Kennedy. This is our world, we have to learn to live with it. Do people like Brittany Spears and Paris Hilton deserve attention? No, they deserve to be locked up in insane asylums where they no longer can influence our children with their immature/disgusting antics.

What can I say, man, life sucks, lol.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

I started this "To Get Out The Vote".

But you know it is a great thread. Ive gotten a history lesson of things I either forgot or never learned.

I think all of us can find things wrong with our country from our own viewpoints. There is a lot of diversity in the group that post here, which I think is cool. I try to be open to what anyone is saying unless they are just trying to stir someone else up.

Music and Politics have a long history of being intertwined.

Hey Capn I think you missed my point. I'll be the first one to decry greed. However , for the goverment to have toltal contol of our healthcare system would be a major F/U. I have much experience dealing with the medicare and medicaid laws. Talk about inane complexity. You and I are paying for hip and knee replacements for people who could pay it out of pocket and never miss the cash. While others cant get the care they need. I am not saying it aint broke I just have no faith in the GOV. fixin anything. I dont now nor have I ever denied that the Earth is warming. I simple believe it is a natural thing and will probably self correct as it has hundreds of time in the last billion years or so . and if it dont driving a Prius aint gonna help. And we wont need health care if Bush's f**k war fails to redirect the muslim murder rampage we "free thinkers "will all be dead.
And yes by all means vote your heart, no matter what your personal delusion is. oh by the way IRMINSUL you dont sound like a true "liberal" to me as you do seem to use your brain. not just hysteria. as your guide.

*Rocks out to Lacuna Coil*

JW, I agree. This is a great thread, I have learned a lot as well. It is very fascinating to see other peoples view points on the matters that plague us these days.

Sanshouheil, as an avid studier of Global Warming, I wonder sometimes if it may be a naturally occurring phenomenon (Like the Greenhouse Effect). I have looked into this before. Other times though I think there is a chance that we may endure the same fate as our sister planet, Venus.

Since we are on about politics, I am going to start a new war here... :D

Did anyone see Roger Clemons and Brian McNamee yesterday at the hearings? In my view it was totally partisan, the Congress was taking sides. Republicans for Clemens, Democrats against Clemens. Republicans against McNamee, Democrats for McNamee. It was horrible to watch and absolutely insane.

What a great justice system we have, our congressmen cannot agree on anything, they always have to contradict one another.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

You interpret the signs as you take the mound, do you not?

Guilty until proven innocent, I always say. LOL

Then again, I am a major cynic and I like it. Never ever any let downs. lol

It's ok, doctors are not the only scumbags. Politicians take the top slot.

You laugh and I am still contemplating enlisting in the army to do a little tour in the desert. Ever since they raised the age you can enlist, I have regained eligibility. And when I say first and foremost, I am a soldier I mean it.

I am toeing the line and have 2 years until I am again too old to go serve my country. I almost joined 11 bravo when I was 18 but I thought that if I killed humans for the sake of being told to kill, I might be ineligible for "preferential status after I die". I know some of you are atheist and that's ok, but I am not. I strive to lead a life of example in deeds if not in spirit. I know I am not the poster child for leading a good, clean life free of erm "cleanliness" but I do better than most and if I could save a few lives without tarnishing my soul, I'd be there already.

It's easy to throw rocks and tell the world what's wrong, but what have YOU done to make it better? Got any plans? You still name calling? You think we are all different or the same? Can you differentiate between shades of grey? I say it's easy to criticize, but it's tough to make a difference. I challenge all the name callers to do exactly that, go make a difference!
