PEOPLE!

1) you wanna fight on the internet, ok fine.

2) keep it short or hire a speech writer, as you do yourself no favor writing long winded diatribes.

3) I take musicians over management any day.

That is just common sense. I have no side here, but I do laugh a little when people get so heated over what seems to be side matters.

Irminsul, you want a gig, a new venue, a creative outlet.

Musicmaze, I don't know what you want or what you have to prove, but if you don't go about it in a civilized manner, you simply appear as yet another internet crazy.

And I ought to know, I am probably the closest thing to an internet crazy you will ever meet. For those of us that know, it is a fine line between crazed/creativity.

Now play nice children or at least keep it to a dull roar.

muzickmage wrote:Well i'm not sure of the best way for you to recover irminsul... but however you do it ... I surely hope you do a better job on your recovery than you did on your music career .... being just how pathetic that turned out.

But thats ok ... not everyone can make it... I do applaud you however for trying. So what if all you have left to look forward to in this world of music are your stories of the yesterdays .... we can all learn alot from them ... in the sense of what NOT to do.

Or, we could don the crown of amatuerish mediocrity, like you...and project our own failures on others without even knowing them.

Yeah, that sounds like the ticket to me.

Now for you... that would be the ticket for sure .... your the perfect one to choose as the speaker of failures ..... hell... you could pluck stories from pretty much any area of your so-called music career as a partial example... or use your entire career as a whole. Either or ... like I told you... your the perfect example of what NOT to do.

Irminsul ... your soon to be riding the bus of 50 year olds.... which wouldn't be a problem normally... but you on the other hand .... pluck elevator music on a harp... now get real... that may have been marketable 20 years ago ..... but not today. Its just a matter of time before you have to admit to yourself that its over..... your not going to be a successful musician.

You have your GIGs of yesterday... some memories... likely made some great friends.... and you have the satisfaction of knowing you tried. Beyond that .... my advice is ..... just tell your stories of what you "used" to do.... for sadly... thats the best you can do at this point.

Or, I could pull a 'mage, and project all of my failures and inadequacies on others; build up my faux accomplishments and try to hide any mental deficiencies by voluminous posts signifying nothing...

Yeah, how about that?

Pass some of that popcorn over here. I can run up to the stands while I'm waiting the return volley.

Well irminsul .... there are 2 quick ways to shut me up:

1) Keep your ignorant remarks to yourself... for i'll only shove them back down your throat for ya. I told you a couple months ago to get off my back... but nope ..... your mouth has to get going every time and out comes your ignorance.

2) Prove that your not a complete failure.... by like .... ummmm ... actually accomplishing something other than a 2-bit gig.... which would be a task in itself ... being that you don't have what it takes to be a successful musician.... hell i'd be surprised if your sorry ass can even score another gig.

Speaking of which ... were exactly "are" you supposedly playing next irminsul? Oh c'mon... i'm sure you can make up something .. at least to make it "look" like your important in this world of music. Do tell.

This is what I like about ankle-biters. So fun to watch them furiously gnaw at your pantleg, shaking their little heads in furry, as if their tiny chihuahua forms mean anything, anything at all in the big picture.

But they are kinda cute, aren't they?

See the problem is that you bark and bark about ignorant remarks, when you are the biggest offender. Let's recap:

* You refer to yourself as a manager of the online career of various artists, yet you don't know jack about managing those artists, almost by your own admission (you are a self avowed "amateur" but I don't think you've hit that mark yet) Proof? You spend the lions share of your time biting my ankle on this forum.

* You don't know jack about the profession of music. Proof? Your posts on this very thread.

* You don't know jack about what a "2 bit gig" is, as opposed to something else. Proof? You accuse me of having nothing more than "2 bit gigs" even though I have several commissions under my belt, and the public performance of my first piano work by another performing artist in August of this year. Clearly, you don't even know what the terms "gig", "commission" or "public performance of original work by another artist" mean. (hint: that's not a "gig")

* You don't know jack about design, if your own site is an example of your best work. Proof? Go look at it.

So in a nutshell, you don't know jack about much. So I will be here to praise you in your all too rare moments of lucidity, and to let you know when you are, once again, absolutely full of sh*t.

You're welcome.
