J-HALEY wrote:Hey thats great news Debbie. One thing about grand kids is you get to spoil the heck out of them and then give them back, also when they grow up to be teenagers and get in trouble you get to laugh at their parents and say you remember when you used to do that to me. And then say well.... this is pay back BWA! HA!HA!
Just kidding of coarse, in all seriousness I agree with Kramar. I have seen it. There are several families from down here in Pasa Get Down Dena (Pasadena,Texas) you know... where Gilley's used to be. That are around the same age as me. Well in my day LOL. In the days of The Jackson 5, The Osmonds, Partridge Family, these local family's pushed their kids to learn an instrument when they got home from school they couldn't come out to play untill they practiced their instrument and did their homework well for a good portion of the year it was dark before they were done. They turned out to be fabulous musicians but man you talk about attitude. I have played with some of them over the years and a few are okay out of 10 from these two family's. If you can get past the attitude Geez! your doing alright!

Yeah, I'm looking forward to what they always say that your kids' kids are always twice as bad as they were...but my kid was a great kid...the middle child..the one who was always sweet, understanding, and never got that cocky attitude most teenagers get....His older brother and younger sister made up for the difference, that's for sure.

I won't push the kid to play or get into music...I'll just provide him or her that opportunity and if they want to they can. "Meme" (that is what I will be called) will teach him or her if she/he wants...(I'll be glad when we find out the gender of this kid...I refuse to call this baby "it"...so until then it's he/she)

Thanks for all the support...I'm getting more excited by the minute.

AWSOME GRANS !!
My youngest kid always loved to hear my bass. Thats what I played (with) while my wife was pregnant. My daughter would always sit up and bounce when I practiced.

Congrats !!
