Oh and one more thing. don't kid yourself the ratio of legal citizens driving with suspended licenses and no insurance compared to the illegals is not even close ask yourself this question why do they drive so slow. The reason is they don't want to get pulled over because they might get deported, so look around at the way they drive here and then go to Mexico they will run your ass over in a heartbeat. Down here in Texas the police are supposed to be able to run your plates and they know immediately know if the vehicle is insured, and yet they still don't care as I said no respect for our laws at all they are here to exploit our economy and that's it. That little boy that just died from the swine flu here in Houston was a Mexican National and his mother and aunt came here to Houston to get medical treatment for themselves.

I don't know about ya'll, but I can't get tags for my car unless I have insurance and a valid drivers license. It's the law for real Americans.

This is why we drive on the revoked list in TX. lol F*ck the world, cause it f*cks you too..

I like people, but I am sick of people getting over on all the hard working people doing it by the numbers.

I think we should just collect all the illegals and make them serve in the armed forces for 8 years. Then we could give them citizenship, if they survive the ordeal.

That would cut down on people entering the us illegally.

Yeah, I'm sure you have a terrible illegal alien problem in Rhode Island. Easy for someone to call someone else a crybaby when you haven't had to put up with what they're "crying" about.

Busboy, waiter, fast food help, fruit pickers & other summer farm help - these USED to be jobs for our own young ppl just getting their 1st jobs, & old ones who wanted to supplement their Social Security. Now they can't get work there cuzza illegals? WRONG!

Construction jobs? Overrun by ppl who don't do the work properly & get away with it cuz they don't understand our language, I guess.

Sorry, Stringdancer, but I beg to differ in a very big way. I started working at the tender age of 12 at the local tobacco farms for minimum wage. (I couldn't have done this today, cuzza insurance & child labor laws. What a buncha BS!) It was hard, grunting work. It was good for me. It also kept me healthy cuz I was working at physical labor, AND I learned a skill. I worked four summers doing that work, & I'd not trade those experiences for anything. They helped me to develop my work habits that have followed me throughout my adult life. I see NO REASON to trade these off to illegals, when our sons & daughters could learn to work like real ppl work & make some handy cash & learn how to save & invest it in their own futures.

We can get healthy ppl off of the dole by helping them to learn the skills of farm work, of fast food work, of laborer work. That is the real meaning of a "leg up." A starting point for them to contribute to the needs of society, while earning. And if they're smart, they'll also learn to save some of that hard-earned money, & invest it in a future that doesn't include hard labor, as it erases the general feelings of entitlement that so many of our poor have now.

Why give these jobs to ppl who aren't interested in a) learning our language & being contributing members of our entire society; b) paying taxes; c) following our laws concerning driver's insurance, etc; &, in some cases, d) they become gang members who endanger our citizenry?

Call me a crybaby, String, but the jobs being taken may not be wanted by YOU, but they'd sure help others who belong here for whatever reason. Call me unfeeling & inhumane, but ppl who come from areas with accepted corruption in their countries only bring more of it into ours, which we do NOT need. Call me an isolationist if you wish, but we need to take care of our own, to work on our roads & bridges using our own labor, thank you very much, to stimulate our own economy. Jobs are dropping like flies right now, in case you haven't noticed. Every one taken by an illegal is a theft of an American, as far as I'm concerned.

Finally, we should also consider the health factor. No one is containing any swine flu at our open borders, or any other possible contageon. At least at the legal entry points, one can see if a person is obviously ill & refuse them entry. Stuff 50 ppl in a trailer for 10-to-30-odd hours. Are any of them sick? Of so, chances are they ALL are, now. Now let's spread 'em around to infect LEGAL citizens of this country.

Yeah, it's a world econmy now, let's just let everyone in & let 'em do whatever the f**k they want & can get away with.

Stop the influx of illegals. It only makes good sense.

Fine & criminalize those that hire them. It only makes good sense.

When they're caught, arrest them & deport them, & arrest & fine or otherwise punish those who've harbored them. It only makes good sense.

Don't feed the trolls, they just come back for more.

This guy is a troll, he wants to make you mad. He can't stand his own miserable, meaningless little life and he wants you to wallow in the sewer with him.

Jobs are dropping like flies right now, in case you haven't noticed. Every one taken by an illegal is a theft of an American, as far as I'm concerned.

That's not just his opinion, it's a fact. Try getting a job in Houston or San Antonio. I did, in the 70's and 80's. Both places it was tough getting hired 20-30 years ago because the companies doing the hiring knew they could get immigrants, legal or otherwise, to do it cheaper. That's been a known fact since the late 70's. It's much worse now. I was in Houston then having trouble getting work and watching illegal aliens in their paint splattered work clothes eat better than I did on food stamps. One of them stole my hammer, tape measure and Ray Ban's, a week later I didn't have a job to make the money to replace them. They still had their jobs. And my tools.

Call me whatever you want to, you don't ruffle my feathers at all, your comments make it easy to see you have no idea what you're referring to, you haven't been here for 30 years, you haven't seen it up close and personal on a day to day basis like we who live here have. You don't have a clue and you just proved it. You're dealing with people who live with it every day, not read about it from a distance of 1500 miles.

Tell me what a crybaby I am when you go to Houston and wind up in the wrong neighborhood after dark. You'll be lucky if your money and hub caps are all you leave behind. Ever been surrounded by 5 Mexicans looking for a fight? Because you tried to get them to stop honking their horn and instead knock on the neighbor's door at 4:30 AM? Been there, done that. Had to pull a gun to get out of it without a brawl. They didn't understand English until I asked them "who's first?" with a gun in my hand. I bet you haven't seen 5 Mexicans in your entire life. I got tired of being woke up at 4:30 or 5AM when I didn't have to be up till 6:30-7 and decided to do something about it. none of them would face me one on one unarmed, they waited until they could gang up 5 on 1. I expected it, I had a gun within easy reach.

And oddly, one of my best friends was a Mexican. Came to the US in 1963, joined the army and did several years in Viet Nam to get his citizenship, had trophies from martial arts tournaments dating 1966-1990, great guy. I figure 4 years in Viet Nam made him just as entitled to live here as me. And he didn't like illegal immigrants any more than I did.

Those are a very rare kind though. Most of them are dishonest, filthy, do sloppy work and abuse the system. Half of the money they make goes straight to Mexico, the US never sees a penny of it. That means no sales tax revenue from hundreds of millions in wages if you consider the numbers of illegal immigrants in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and California... A dozen people in one small apartment means nobody has to pay more than $50 a month rent, usually more like $30, $10 for groceries, so they can send half back home and still drive a nice car and stay drunk every night. And throw their beer bottles in my yard.

Come down here and take a look at some of the new houses being built. Sloppy barely describes it. Last new house I worked on I spent more time fixing sloppy framing than I did doing my trim work. Try to install baseboards in a house with no room less than an inch out of square. The best corner I got you could drop two business cards in. I should be able to finish a room out with NO gaps at all, period. Make the room an inch out of square and it's impossible. Studs on 16" centers? HAHAHAHA...no way. Once the sheetrock goes on it can't be fixed, you have to fight it, and their sloppy work makes mine look sloppy. That pi$$es me off.

What I find strange is the work I see on guitars made in Mexico is not even close to the sloppy crap I see them do here. I've played at least 30 Mexican Strats that were nice guitars. WHY??? If they can do nice work, WHY is the framing on new houses I see so sloppy? Because they know they can get away with it.

I started to ignore your ignorance entirely, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about, but I thought it might be a good idea to describe what is going on down here. People like you who don't have the slightest clue just how bad the situation is will readily let millions more into the country thinking it isn't that big of a deal.

I'm not a religious person, but I think when the Bible said "before you worry about the splinter in your neighbor's eye, take the log out of your own", people like you were exactly what it was referring to. I'm pretty sure you're not perfect...

I think I hear your mommy calling...she wants her computer.
