I like it, but I'd like a better bass line, too. Groovy Ventures-ish guitar tone with the whammy stuff.

I'll never understand the use of the Bixby. I've heard ppl like you use them well, but I've yet to actually hold an axe that would stay in tune with one of them dratted things on it.

Beautiful tune, man. It could use some minor tweaking in the recording to make it great, but it stands on its own well as it is, & that's a sure sign of a good song.

Thanks for the critique, philbymon! I hope that the tune provides fertile ground for an inventive bass player! I'd like more "panache" for it too. I have limited bass abilities so figured I'd best just hold it down.

On production I also agree with you. I'm a nube at home recording but am learning a little bit all the time. I'm a little limited with my equipment...LOL...ok, aLOT limited, but even w/ what I have, I haven't quite mastered the use of it (Boss BR600) yet. I'll need to spring for paying a pro sometime...studio rates are falling around here, so that could happen in the near future!

On Bigsby use I'll tell you what I have and do. The guitar recorded is a Epiphone Wildkat-all stock. One of 3 imports I have(and the best), and it is a fine guitar IMO. For the Bigsby, I put graphite on the nut and bridge, and that- is that! Nothing else. The strings have to be stretched or it's a mess. And if you find yourself beginning to detune-don't go for the tuning heads right away. Try pulling *up* a little on the bar...it will often bring you back in tune. Strings much passed their prime become very useless, very quickly. I can usually play 3 tunes or so with heavy Bigsby use before I need to make minor adjustments, providing the strings are prime.

Thanks for listening and talking to me about it! I'm glad you could appreciate it!
