SQUIRREL!!! I play fantasy games, Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, if we can all pin each other down to the same day and line up the stars, torment the cats that I live with (there's 7 of them) and they all need different kinds of tormenting, some you can rough up like a dog and they love you for it, others you have to scratch or else they scratch you, others you just have to let hibernate on ya, haven't gone shooting yet, bro and good buddy have a few guns, but the tree hunting spot got bought up I guess and the tree bridge taken out, damned developing region

If I take out music-related hobbies/activities, there's a big gap left in my leisure schedule. When I need to relax, I light one up and play some racing game or start shooting people.. in-game ofcourse :)
Otherwise, hanging out with friends.. I used to draw.. pretty well actually..

That too.

My son just called. He & my wife are taking me to enjoy another of my favorite extracurricular activities - fine dining - for my b'day. At 6 PM I'll be in sushi heaven at my favorite restaurant in the whole world - The Asian Garden, in Martiansburg. (I gotta give them some free advertising here - they're great ppl who've become friends of mine, & their food is some of the best sushi I ever ate!) Woo-hoo!

Great topic. It's nice to get to know people a little better. I used to be a fanatic birdwatcher myself when I was younger. I still watch birds WHILE I'M FISHING. There's something frustrating at not being able to get a hold of a bird. What's nice about fishing is that I get a hold of a lot of them and the vast majority I have the option of freeing unharmed. (A few end up being filleted.) By the way don't ever birdwatch with Sanshoueil. He'll end up getting a hold of some and they'll be quite dead. Besides fishing which I do way too much of I also play disc golf. I'm an executive board member of the Kansas City Flying Disc Club. I'm the course coordinator for Prairie Center Park in Olathe, Kansas. I'm not a very good disc golfer. I'm actually a much better golfer which I haven't played in many years. Nate Doss has nothing to fear from me (current #1 disc golfer on planet Earth). I restore stained woodwork for a living, although right now I'm treading water. I just started my own company November 1 this past year. I just put up a new website for my company which is called Woodbright (check out www.woodbright.net). I also am a part-time independent distributor for Fuller Brush. Music is obviously a huge passion for me. I've been in bands for thirty years. Right now I'm just re-forming the current band. Our new line-up is vocal top-heavy. We've got three legitimate front man lead singers, and two others that can sing some. We've had a few rehearsals and the material we can do is almost infinite. In the past the bands I've been in were dominated by instrument virtuosity. This is a whole new band concept for me. We're on our way, just have to get organized. Recently I started contributing some of my fishing jokes to www.landbigfish.com. I've got five jokes on there: Pea fishing, How Many Points Was It?, God has a Permit, Patience Is a Virtue, and Drunk Trout Fisherman. Feel free to go on that site and rate whatever jokes you want and perhaps write a review of them. I have absolutely no economic interest in your rating them. It's not a contest or anything, just a fun thing that people contribute to. There's some really funny jokes and videos on that website. I actually got the idea for Drunk Trout Fisherman from Howlin J (thanks). Enjoy...

It's good to be well-rounded as a musician; personally I enjoy painting, astronomy, paleontology and golf, among others. But music will always be my number one passion. Musicians who try to coach their kid's softball team, play on a bowling league and and restore old cars have too many hobbies to play in my band.

Well, for the last 15 or so years, I've been in the wine industry here in Altus, Arkansas. Mostly doing sales and delivery although for a while I also worked in the retail shop on weekends pouring wine for tasting and doing tours and stuff. Currently, I'm just doing deliveries part time for one of the smaller wineries, but I'm training a younger guy to take my place. As soon as I'm through remodeling my studio, I'm going to be doing recording for bands and individuals and giving guitar and bass lessons. It's my retirement plan. I'll also be putting together a new band someday, as I meet more musicians through my studio. And I'm known as the walking encyclopedia of jokes. I got a million of 'em, and hundreds are good.

Music videos............Ford Festivas, other cars, racing my vmax, photography (I love bugs and cars), painting, sculpture, carving, tomato garden, disc golf, softball, billiards, ping pong.

Music is so far ahead of the others that they get severely neglected. If I ever get to where I make some decent money from music I'll be able to throw more time at all of them.

Hey, thanks, sans. It was a good b'day.

Nice pics Paul. You & Pete & JW oughta get a lil photo thing together.

Bob - I have GOT to try out that disc golf thing. Sounds like a great springtime pursuit to get rid of the winter flab.

ratsass - recently, I've been more into wine, but I have a looooooooong way to go before I really know anything about it. I hit a few wine tasters last year & enjoyed the heck out of it, & bought some pretty good local stuff, too.

jimmyd - there's an actual observatory not too far from my drummer's place. I hear they let ppl come in to look once in awhile. I'm gonna be checking into that, soon. I'll let you know what happens if they let me in.

Andy - step AWAY from the vids & the TV. There's real life out there, man. (j/k)

HJ - it's only a cpl weeks before MOREL SEASON starts up around here!!!! DAMN but I love them 'shrooms! Ramps will be up too, but if ya eat too many ya stink for quite a few days! They are awful good, though, & I usually freeze a bunch, but I ran out early last year. I transplanted some into my yard & they actually grew for a few years, then just kinda faded away. I DID try transplanting some pink lady slippers last fall & I'm waiting to see if they took. Delicate, they are, but one of the few indigenous orchids in the lower 48.

Crip & JW - it's been so long since I was on a bike I think I'd be skeered 1/2 to death to ride again. (But I'd be willing to try, if I get a chance...I'd just take to it like a lil old lady!)

Been there, done that. Not much of an outdoors person.. unless we're a tight group of friends, then it doesn't fckin matter where we go, right?

Oh and I don't spend THAT much time gaming. Oh I have known people who would stay stuck to the screen for DAYS. No sleep, no shower, just pizza and pop. I know a dude who literally turned down sex with his gf because he was playing WoW. I was in disbelief when she said it.. turns out it was true -.-

Anyways, I do like going to different places around the world. Some day...

Yeah, really nice pics dudes!
I build laser light shows, do electronics stuff, tried painting abstracts for a while, work on cars, make small lighthouses, a little woodworking and metalworking, go to the drag-races (nitromethane) watch a little tv, and sometimes get f**cked-up as Philby on that 1st post of his :D :D :D ROFL. Looked like one of my posts, after-hours!! :D
