I tease drummers a lot. They are usually strong ppl that aren't too sensitive, & can give as good as they get from an old bass player like me. For me, teasing drummers is a show of my appreciation for not only their playing, but their minds, cuz they are nearly always quick with a good comeback about bass players or someone else. It's just fun, in the tongue-in-cheek tradition. No drummers have ever been injured by my playful barbs. It keeps us sharp, & appreciative of each other's wit. Many other ppl won;t get it, or will take it personally, but a bond between a drummer & a bassist is just one of those things you have to do to get it.
