Your biggest mistake was leaving your gear there when this friction was going on. Drummer only had to get drunk and get a good mad on - for reasons real or imagined - and your equipment could have been trashed or gone.

Anyway, it's too bad this kind of thing had to happen, but it sounds like one of those better off without them situations.
