He really wasnt much trouble at all. BANG :( sh its done. I think If he were alive today he,d be livivg on an all rich white guy golf course next to Rev White. I hope I am wrong. If he really ment what he said and not just riding a wave toward fame and fortune, he'd be ashamed of the way his message has been twisted into little more than seperatist hate talk.
All this bullcrap about African American ,Mexican American Korean American and on and on. Just be Americans damnit we are special without adding any other tags to the word.

MLK was no Rev. Wright.

Please be clear on that.

He sought justice for ALL. Not just black. When his campaigns for equal rights began to have success, he also championed the rights of laborers, and the poor, of ALL colors.

His inspiration was Jesus and Ghandi, not Malcom X (who, btw, changed his own stance on black separatism, believing that blacks and whites could live in harmony. As a Muslim, he came to this belief upon visiting Mecca, and seeing people of various colors and nationalities uniting in religious observance. This is why Malcom X was later targetted for assasination by his own people, in the Nation of Islam, who were still preaching separation and a separate nation distinct from white people, to be established in America)

I only agree with this to a point.

You would probably take no issue with a shirt that read "Kiss me, I'm Irish" even though the wearer, may only be Irish several generations back. You would proudly claim you were a "Texan" or a "Californian" with no problem. Which speaks more to where you were born, and where your roots are. It may not be that most mean this as an insult or a matter of priorities, but instead, just a recognition of their birthplace or their parent's birthplace.

Perhaps "American of African decent" would be a better phrase, but it is longer, and takes more time to say.

I share the concern I assume you feel as well, that this could be a foundation of continued separation for Americans, but on the other hand, this has ALWAYS been a melting pot, and just as easily, maybe it is a good thing, that there are so many nations represented here, and even putting their birthplace flags on their cars, etc... Maybe it is that much harder for the Irish, or Cubans, or anyone else, to want to see us destroyed, when so much of the country is represented by them in our own citizens?

Maybe as a melting pot, America truly is, in a position, unique in history, to be the launching pad, in the struggle for world peace? A struggle which seems so impossible, and yet, one in which it sometimes seems we can get a glimpse of, from this vantage point.

I did not know Dr King so I am not judging him. Aint my job anyhow. It just seems to me that what he (and others) have done and or stood for always gets colored with the lies of political agenda from all aspects.
It is rare for a man to garner that much power, and not be a lier or thief in some manner or another. I sure as hell dont trust the "civil rights" populus as they are natoreus for the misrepresentation of history.
I do not believe world peace is even a possability until the return of Christ so this has no more interest to me than walking on the sun.
A tentative sembalence of justice will do in this life. And only through force is that achievable. Great men are the ones quietly raising their children with love and teaching truth and self respect. Aint no money or political power in that. The metal from the pot will be weak if the elements refuse to blend. It is not neccesary or advisable to lose contact with ones roots. However the leaves must reach for the light.
