Thanks! Lol. Yes, I will, but first I need an amp to record with, and some kind of mic', that or a wire to hook the amp directly to the laptop, lol.

I will get some sounds up, they will all stink, do not worry.

I am worst guitarist in the world!!!... Okay, maybe not the world, but um, in my city? Lol. We'll see, I will leave the judging up to others.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

enthusiasm. It would be a breath of fresh air if some of us "veteran" "experienced" "pro" musicians could get this excited about buying a new instrument or doing anything new in music. Ga, I'm looking forward to the day when you post us about your first gig, first studio CD project, world tour, etc. It may be sooner than you think. Good luck...

Those words mean a lot to me, Fisherman Bob. I cannot wait till I talk about my first gig, lol. I do not think you will hear about a world tour though, I do not plan on that one, but the fun of just gigging will be enough for me. Hopefully I will get video of that day, whenever that is, lol.

It is going to be great. Thank you for the kind words.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

GA, I'm still waiting for the day you say," All that studying paid off! I just got my GED, and it looks like my application to Yale to study medicine will be approved!"
Just remember, you'll have to pay the bills while you're learning how to play guitar. With all the time you've spent on this site, you could have gotten your GED already, dude . . .
If you're changing your thoughts on this, you'll have to change your name to just 'Guitar.'
;)

... You're like my conscience...

I know, you are right. I have to have something to pay the bills, which I do right now, lol. I am a medical transcriptionist at the moment, but I must say between that and guitar I might burn out my hands.

I plan on studying today, I already looked up all the dates and stuff. I have spoken to my mother about it as well. You may have to wait 4 years for me to say "I got into Yale!" Lol. I think you probably know it's 4 years undergraduates and then you apply for med-school. To make it easier on myself I will probably be doing internet college, but for what I would do it for I would still have to go into a lab every so often to be taught things (So there is some hands on experience).

The reason I will be doing internet college is because right now my family is still in transit, so to speak. Might move up north to New York in like a half a year. So yeah, I will just apply for internet for now.

My education means a lot to me, even though I am slow on it. Guitar is just a phase, medicine is my future.

Thanks for the support, RhythmMan (I mean it, no sarcasm involved).

P.S. Just "Guitar" would be a bad name, I must keep the "Anatomy" part. Actually, I called myself that thinking of literal guitar anatomy, the whole structure and stuff. But it does correlate to the field I want to go into, lol. Irony I guess. :D

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

Guitaranatomy wrote:Hello, I have finally got it! Haha, I got a new guitar, whoo. I need to work on the amp though so I cannot get my hopes that high up, lol. Still looking for the amplifier. But I have a nice new guitar, got it really cheap too.
Check it out:

I am very happy with this, it is awesome. Wish me luck! Note also, it has 24 frets, which means I can play a better variety of solos (Many of the ones I play go up that high).

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

Cool guitar GA! I'm glad you stepped up from that First Act garbage! Did you ever see Kim Thayil's (Soundgarden) Guild S-1. It has an offset SG look like this one. I love how it looks like an SG body in italics. I was thinking about getting the Viper for my step-daughter. but the neck is too chunky for her. She likes the SG look. I'm a Fender guy, and she likes Avril, so I'm trying to convince her to go with a tele. (Sorry....off topic I know) Let us know how your new "git-fiddle" works out for ya.

Avril Lavigne Telecaster (see scarletrust's post above)

Scarletrust, thanks man for the compliments. I know of Kim's guitar, I saw it in the video for "Outshined" I believe. My guitar has a thick neck, I think it would be rougher on a girl's hands. My sister was going to learn guitar but her acoustic (Which I now possess) has too thick a neck and too big a body for her arm to get around, the body size is the main problem. The neck on it is thick, it is a Yamaha acoustic.

I like the look of SG's, and this baby reminds me of one, it is great.

If it helps any, I like Telecasters. I have never played one, but I have played a Fender. I want a Telecaster, mainly a Thinline 1972 model, semi-hollow body (Ever since seeing Jonny Buckland of Coldplay use one, I have wanted it).

I hate Avril... Lol. But taste is taste, who can account for it.

I will let you know when I plug it into a good amp what it is like. I know I love how it is just without the amp, it feels great on my hands. I play very fast on it too, good shredding neck, great on the fingers. I have been working on "Am I Evil" and "Blitzkrieg," Metallica's versions.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

Oh dude, don't get me wrong, I cant stand Avril either. I'm just dropping her name on my step-daughter just so I can get her over to "Team Fender."

Lmao! Smart move, man. Fender rocks. If she wants a female guitar influence let her listen to Heart, Nancy Wilson's guitar playing is sure to knock the socks off of anyone.

Go Fender and ESP!

I think it's a beautiful song, lots of emotion, good lyrics and melody.
