Well.... I'm happy to say that all those months of extreme practicing last year definitely paid off... We blew the band before us away and the one that was supposed to go on after us decided to get out of there! We were prepared to do 1 nice set but ended up doing 2 separate sets and 2 encores!
Our drummer broke his snare in our first set but luckily the band before us was still there and lent us theirs.... and then a few songs later, he broke one of his bass pedals.... My singer had to entertain the crowd when these technical difficulties arose. Luckily, He's got an awesome sense of humor! After the first couple of chords in the first song, I became surprisingly comfortable up there again and really started hamming it up! By the end of my 1st set I started doin' the ole "wailing on the axe with the teeth" routine and, I don't know why or how, but, in the encore, I actually played a few licks with my tongue  The crowd ate it up and kept asking for more but we finally had to say enough! The sound engineer came up to me after it was all over and gave me a big hug :? .... said he hasn't been entertained like that in this particular club in years.. We were invited to play there again as we have now opened up the first door to many doors and are going to start writing originals soon to throw in the mix! My wife took video of a lot of the show so when we're done editing it, I will post it! ....FINALLY... back in the saddle again

*Claps* F*ucking "A" man. Well done. I am glad to hear that, wish I could see you guys but I do not live anywhere near there.

I had a feeling you guys would not mess up, you have been playing too long to make the kind of mistakes that I would probably make. The whole playing the guitar with the teeth and tongue thing is awesome, we have another Hendrix here!

Double encore, darn. I am sure the crowd would throw a bottle of beer at my head, lol. "No encore, get off the stage crappy guitarist! We want Crip2Nite back!"

Yeah, that is why I am never gigging with you, lmao. Just kidding.

Well, good job man. I had a feeling you would do just fine, even if your drummer had some technical difficulties.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

crip,
Before you drink up the"gig money",go buy one of those newfangled digital mini recorders so ya can share the sounds with the rest of us!
Looking forward to the vidio. Congradulations on a "job well done" to you and your mates!

what on earth took you so long to get back into it? Sounds like you're back in the saddle big time. Two things however, your drummer might want to ease up a little. Replacing or repairing equipment after every gig might get expensive. Also your dentist is going to love you. Or maybe playing the guitar with your teeth is sort of like flossing? Get on those originals ASAP. You're not getting any younger and I bet you've got a bunch of pent-up creativity inside you after so many years off. Let it all come out and get into the studio SOON. Looking forward to buying your first CD. Later...

Thanx guys,

My drummer hung out till closing time with the owner and was told we have a "free pass" to his establishment, which means WE get to pick the prime dates to play there in the future over other bands... we're thinking on a few Sat. nights for the next few months!

Thanx guys... well after reviewing the vids, we're coming to the conclusion that the sound "engineer" doesn't know his ass from his elbow as quite a few of our vids contain a lot of feedback and waay too much echo... but obviously it didn't bother the crowd and.. what the hell here are a few. The fact that the songs are sooo freakin' long that we had to condense them immensely to get them on the web doesn't help with the sound(tunnel sound) and visual quality either but, you'll get the idea ... just click on my "myspace page... I have a few right on the page and if ya wanna se more just click on vids:

Dayne - you're talking to a 10-year-old thread that was revived by a troll, who was quickly banned and deleted and his post removed.
