lol Thanks, if I set up guitars that would be great.

Sounds like a charm, wish I had mechanical ability.

See Capt; i enjoy doing and helping people in a manner such as i posted..."NO" i will not purposely walk you into ruining your guitar.
I'm glad you said you didn't feel confident to proceed or do your own adjustments.
I will say, maintaining your instrument ranks second only to playing it.
Every musician should know the basics of care for their instrument...it will last a lifetime as it should.

Do you feel better now< Francis?

I only have 5 guitars. 2 are Jap Fender Strats. They play like butter and never have needed adjustments. If I have to choose, I prefer jap strats from that era. (1970's)

I have a mex strat and that is worse than bad. It sits as a back up.

I have a RI 61 elitist Epiphone SG, eh. It's ok sounding.

I have a 60th anniversary Fender Strat in Silver. (the nicest mex I ever played) ( I fully recommend any 60th anniversary anything by fender)

I also own a Hamer flying V. eh..

I own a Ibanez Roadstar 2 bass, my old workhorse I beat every time I want to.

And an Ibanez RG 550 Roadstar in neon orange I like, but not enough to use regularly.

I also have a crappy LP100 Epiphone Les Paul copy I do not like.

Oops, that's more than 5.

My buddy is a luthier and I have him do all adjustments. It's free and I send all my business to him as well as mention him every time I play out, as he is good and he likes what I play.

Could I ask for more? NO. Will I be working on my own guitar ever? No.

I don't even own any tools, to be honest.

I am glad that you told me though, I can make sure to be on the look out for those tools at the next garage sale I go to.

Garage sales are no doubt where you found those premium instruments.

Your right, Jim.

I found the best electric guitar/Japanese Stratocaster I ever played at a yard sale for 160$ cash money.

I consider it lucky/sent by an angel. I feel that if they known what it was, I might not have been able to purchase it and still be playing something less.

It my most prized instrument as of the tones it paints sonic-wise and the feel of the neck when I play it.

Hence the "plays like butter" remark.

I never did well at garage sales looking for instruments. I think I bought an old Fender Bassman onetime for $60. I have found a lot of neat stuff at pawn shops and consignment stores.
