ok dane...i think we're done now. like glenny.....i waste little time w those who play fast and loose w the truth.

it's disappointing to see you stoop that low.

cos if you're gonna weigh in w BS about me "playing out of key" that means you're either being dishonest or your ears are even worse than your out of tune gtr playing demonstrates.

well played, dane. cos now we're done. congrats.

Dayne, I liked Coltrane's Dream. That's like. It's a heart. It's orange. If you see a gold star, get your eyes checked out or look at possible side effects from medications.
The problem with liking a song on SoundCloud is that I hear it on my stream. If I don't want to hear it on my stream, like Jook's Christmas song for example, I don't click like. I thought this tune had potential, but it's got problems. I won't be clicking like on this one. You clicked like on it. That's between you and yourself.

Problems with this track.

The two guitar parts don't sound like they're in time with each other. I like some of your freewheeling tempo changes, but if the tracks don't sync up.... you gotta get a metronome or a click track.

The ambient shuffling sounds at the beginning and end of the track. Don't post that. No one wants to hear that.

The tuning/ intonation problems Mark indicated

The two different guitar tones are neat together, but you need to eq and pan it better so that they're not clashing with each other. I listen to a lot of music that sounds like what you're going for here. You need to really clean it up to make it work.

Finally, you're burning through an incredible amount of your 3 free hours to share a song that you'll just discard anyway. Do the Dropbox thing. I look forward to several hours of top notch Coltrane's Dream type stuff on your profile. Not rough sketches that are undermining your cred as a good musician.

For what it's worth....

what ?, just because I like jook's version better does not mean I did not like yours.. I thought you went out of key a few times, but not on the whole thing, I think you call those "clams" I was not trying to be deceitful, you wanted me to answer so I did.. just my opinion, just like you have an opinion..

trust me, i couldn't give a $hit less about who's version you or anyone likes better.

it's not a competition. likewise... goldstars and "likes" aren't why i share my music.

and like i said...if you're sticking w that "out of key" BS you're either full of crap or have ears that can't recognize when a gtr's out of tune.

now you can move on w another weak attempt at trying to get a rise out of someone else.....i grow weary of this passive aggressive game you've taken up.

ok, so this might be more in tune, ?..really it's just a matter of what taste you have acquired, is it not?

you are not going to tell me that sounds more in tune and with less "crazy out of sync" guitar parts?"( uhhh horn parts)..are ya? and it only took me less than an hour to do Yuk Yuk Contingency..

here is a link to help educate you as to why your critique of Yuk Yuk was negative.. you have not acquired the necessary taste to move on in the musical world of clashing harmonies.. I am as resentful about punk rock thrashing on a C major chord with distorted guitars so who am I to judge?.. but hopefully you will read the article and maybe understand 8)

so did you listen to the Sun Ra band playing?, I can hear instruments that have intonation discrepancies.. could it be their slides on their trumpets need to be slid in or out a 1/4"if you can listen to that and claim you can't hear the "clutter" as you put it, :) as intended that way, ..listen if the music I put up for your listening pleasure is beyond your musical tastes and limitations, don't blame the instruments, blame your lack of a good ear..

I'm just about through with you "experts" or so you would lead me on to believe.. it would be fun to get all of you together with a panel of judges and not peers as you have your peer group presently in place, and let people in a neutral NON-BIASED position decide if the music I most selflessly entertained you with is rabble or a new musical concept worthy of praise and commercial success..recorded on a 95 dollar DR-05 to get it up for jook to download and play around with if he be so inclined was really the only intention, whipped it out fast since at the time I felt maybe I had let jook down pulling the "So, The Story Goes" and felt obligated to give him something in it's place.. you know, I scored a C+ on a poem I wrote for Iowa Poetry Days Association contest back in 9th grade.. I will never forget that biased teacher pointing out it's flaws, but you know what? I was scored 1st runner-up in the contest out of 10's of thousands of poems, the poem was "A Quail's Viewpoint" and you might be able to google to find the newspaper article it was talked about by "experts" like you, planetguy and now it looks like schmeddy has joined the panel of musical experts also handing out bogus critiques" and "help" .. the point is the teacher was wrong as well.. 4th in the state of Iowa I was, have you ever been 4th out of 10's of thousands of anything?

everybody appears to be set in stone on their position about this ..

one last thing not even related to this, but am I the only one who recalls a saying, along the lines, MUSICIANS ARE THE WORST BACK STABBERS in society.. if their own work looks like weak sauce, they are the 1st to drag down another musicians superior to their's work by any number of ways.. including denouncing the other's cheap instrument, denouncing their choice of musical notes, making fun of the lyric, making fun of the tone, making accusations because they want to drag other's work down to their own level.. yep, I'm pretty sure I am not the 1st one to have heard that "saying before, MUSICIANS ARE THE WORST BACK STABBERS in society.. .. you never see professionals back stabbing
