Don't rely on Soundcloud for sharing projects! Use Dropbox (free!) or some other file sharing service.

Soundcloud converts/compresses whatever is uploaded to them to its own MP3 format (that's why if you upload an MP3 it can turn to crap - lots of compression pumping). So if you just record the stream, you're recording the MP3, not the original file.

Looks like you deleted your original song before I got the chance to listen ... New one - guitar is in tune - with itself. Do you have an electronic tuner? Because you are not tuned to true concert pitch, to play along with you, it'd be necessary to tune to your tuning, or change the pitch in the recording software (pretty easy to do when its just a small amount).

you are right Mike, it was not a song, it was the beginnings of a song, it was just a rough sketch offered to get opinions, but no opinions were forthcoming so it is now on the back burner

I'm at work now, can't listen. Off to an open mic tonight, so will try to listen tomorrow.

On DropBox - yeah, they make you download the app. I've been using DB for years, never an issue.
