Anyone who has devoted significant research into the matter knows it's a very complex issue that touches on a number of factors. If anyone would like to discuss this, the Non-Music forum would be the appropriate venue--as P-guy notes. But I've noticed that arguments there are typically 'won' by the loudest, most insulting and most offensive; ergo, I'll stay here and talk music.
As usual DP, you speak words of wisdom. And as someone who also was in the education racket....i know firsthand that it's not as simple as blaming the NEA, Obama, failed Democratic policies, or Hillary's pant suits.
I would suggest that anyone so confused educate THEMSELVES before making such off hand and ignorant sweeping generalizations.
That's the last the I have to say in this General Music Forum on the subject of "Dumbed Down Music/Musicians" as it pertains to politics.
Ted, if you wish to continue to blame Obama, Dems/libs, Hillary, and "failed democratic programs" every time you break a string, your milk goes bad, you get a flat tire, or someone dials your number by mistake....go ahead and knock yourself out....
But show some courtesy and respect to the folks who come to this forum to discuss music, and not to be hit over the head by your political views every time you see a convenient moment to take pot shots.
Let's be clear, no one told you to "shut up". And I'm not asking you to now. I'm simply asking you to please take your political sermons, and the axe that you need to continually grind over where they belong....to the sandbox forum. Thank you.
