It's red (on top). Bottom of guitar appears to be plain aluminum. This is his first tour (2nd leg right now) that is aluminum all except for the rosewood fretboard. I think it sounds more organic that his previous models with an aluminum fretboard.

Yeah. He got tired of the necks breaking every time they flew overseas, plus he has fat hands with short fingers and likes the thickness (or lack thereof) of the aluminum necks.
