We played a slightly longer version of this for a band theme. We didn't choose to use a cover theme but chose an instrumental.

There are other songs that require a big tip for me to play - Margaritaville, for example. I swore I'd never play Seger's 'Turn the Page' again, but my bud who calls me up to join him on his solo gigs always does it. So I've done it solo a few times, and the audience still loves it - they know the words, they sing along.

My old band in Texas would open the night and close the night with 30 min of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. One night I ran out of sticks so I did half the drum solo with my bare hands.
This was the drum set. A old Ludwig Hollywood Rocker. Pearl Double layer Black Dot Heads. Ghost Pedal and very rare Paiste formula II cymbals.

That's about 150% as much Inagadadavida as the album version! :shock: :lol:
