yeah, I got another one from a country band maybe a year or two ago on here, and they actually were a pretty darn good sounding band, but they gigged in Omaha, Oklahoma, and other far away places, and they were 65 miles away, when I found the pay varied according to the gig, I lost interest quickly, when pay/compensation is a big unknown..

I saw someone trying to start a DD tribute band in this area. really? They weren't that popular, were they?

Fits the business model, doesn't it? Fun dance music. You can make it sound really big with the keyboards and samples. Check out their first greatest hits compilation, Decade. Almost all MTV hits. Yes, they were that popular. Did you think the 50s revival in the 70s & 80s was misplaced?

I am going to have a strange piece of music uploaded for your listening "pleasure" ouch! , clams and all, ..but it's the outline and meat and potatoes of the tune, and with you playing in the future on it, it will no doubt sound different then what's there now, it will have some jook juice injected into it.. never will forget David Bowie getting interviewed about his album "Let's Dance" and him saying it basically ended up sounding nothing like he envisioned.. Nile Rodgers the producer can take anything musically and enhance it into a much better sounding composition/improvisation..look at those shit-hot Madonna tunes with the killer bass lines for example "Lucky Star" "Dress You Up"
