Looks like you're gonna have to come out to Mid MO!

Bummer. BFE, Mizzou, eh? Been there, but only to drive thru, cruisin' 70 on my way to and from Denver. Don't know if this is the right time of year, tho; was watchin' the Series last night, and it was cold. It's pretty nice down here, now that the brutal heat has eased up.

been super nice here....just got back from a long bike ride w the mrs (biking being the one "sporting" endeavor i can still do til i get my feets right). it's prolly mid 70's w zero wind. and we're coming into a few days of temps in the 80's.....hoo-ah!

i've got a 7-10 outside gig tonight so the temps shouldn't be too bad.

Sorry to hear 'bout your dawgs. But hey, sittin' thru gigs is a good thing. I've had guys tell me I need to stand when I play--once got bounced from a band for that very reason--but can't do it. I gotta sit. Besides, who wants to watch some furry old geezer playing the piano? Let 'em eyeball the guitarist.

thanks for the symaptico!

well, w vibes, marimba, or double bass... sitting isn't an option. i've just always felt more comfortable standing up.

i used to play bass w an "Americana" singerwriter who insisted we all sit down. he was a "storyteller" and would blather on endlessly between songs telling the audience the story behind each song in painstaking detail. and it was always delivered EXACTLY the same way word for word...same punch lines...same fake laugh in the same place every gig. it was a good paying gig but amongst other problems i HATED playing sitting down.

my solution...i started bringing my upright bass to gigs instead of my electric....problem solved! 8)
