You know this place is DEAD. The could just discontinue this forum entirely and I rather doubt anyone would even notice.

As in barely any traffic at all. It's heyday was some years ago.

Bob has been here for a LONG time and he's not a johnny come-lately to this thing either.

He doesn't ratchet jaw about politics. He never really rubbed anyone the wrong way (that I can see at least) and he plays out as much as humanly possible.

He was a pretty nice fellow as well.

In short he's got me beat, hands down. So I'll be sorry to see someone that had something real to say go out the door because bmix had indigestion that day.

Even worse, they didn't even identify what it is that upset them in the control room.

It's one thing to say "do not write this and specify what it is and what problem they feel it's causing". It's completely another to send an anonymous message and not even itemize what is causing the "bur under the saddle".

But don't slam Bob, he's doing what he's supposed to do by being active and playing out. The fact he shared his wisdom isn't anything I would have guessed because I see the darkness in people, as in most of them are the equivalent of vomit. But not Bob, he was true blue and he'd help you a hell of a lot faster than I would.

The open mic Meetup group that you took a cheap shot are run by two great guys dedicated to professional and amateur musicians like the ones on this forum
The group takes on the personality of its members and by saying the group was Way to LAME without meeting us, you effectively took a shot at all of the members
Now that you took a shot at us, be careful if you ever mention the name of your band (The Sponge Bob Protocol) to ANY musicians in Montgomery, Bucks, or Burlington Counties
If you do, you may receive the response “you’re that guy?”

Are we missing something here? If someone came into my home and started saying stuff I objected to hearing, I would ask him to stop, since I couldn't delete him. If he kept it up I would delete him right out the door. The point being that we are in someone else's home. The virtual home of somebody who was inspired to build up a network where musicians could hang out and express ideas and share their music. I would imagine that he worked hard, spent quite a few dollars on his idea, and went through a lot of grief before making a penny on it.

You're in his dream. Why should he let anyone (*&^ it up? He is also subject to the policing by the unseen who could come after him or hold him partially responsible if anything ever got out of hand and and someone got hurt for something that began on his "property".
