Same thing here after a late gig last Oct ...
Got up the next day and went for a hike when we came back we saw my guitar leaning against the wall ....
All night and most of the day sitting on my porch ...

" I really don't want the 9p-2a gigs anymore. I'll leave them for the young bucks. "

The back of my Twin has a socket .... we joke its for a coffee maker for those late naters ...

You guys must be OLD! Man I just want to play. We have a bunch of early gigs coming up 7 to 11 these are festival type gigs! These are the ones that are close to home too! We have a Rock The Dock gig coming up on July 4th There should be between 3000 and 5000 people there! It is one of the biggest gigs in this area. We have been working on combining my and Randy's p.a.'s that will be 4 18" subs he has double 15 tops and I have single 15 tops for 15,000 watts with my wife running sound. Our next gig is May 11th at one of our regular venue's. On May 25th we are playing the Pleasure Pier in Galveston that's another high profile gig. Its looking like its going to be a good year. I am not playing with the other band anymore. We just weren't each others type. They like to do the 420 thing and I don't!

as for me not deserving that gtr, mike....that should go w/o saying!

i believed i mentioned it before but i bought that gtr from one of my favorite musicians i've had the luck to know and play with. sandy is a very fine musician (gtr/bass/cuban tres/drums/perc) of cuban descent....and i mention she's a cubano and expose my own prejudices about cubans. pretty much to the man (or woman) ...every one i've played w.... always killed. and sandy is no exception.

sadly, though...she was a Guild-tease. after telling me she owned this gtr, she brought it to our next prct where i drooled all over it. first looking at it and then more buckets upon playing it.
she had it for awhile and it wasn't getting it for her anymore. so immediately, i asked her to sell it to me. well, she wasn't THAT sure about letting it go. long story a little shorter....she soon reconsidered and sold it to me just before she moved outta town.

i miss playing with her and her super cool personality. did i mention she was also a cutie?

so, this gtr has some special attatchment and meaning for me. (thank god i was able to get most of drool off it)
