JimmyD

I like your bass man on this. He is just a trifle louder than you but rather than turn him down I might suggest turning you up just a hair.

Good stuff.

Thanks again everyone for listening and your suggestions. Some real good advice from the BM crew! Too bad some of you don't live closer, I think the band needs another guitarist, preferably someone who can sing. I'd really like a keyboard player but we're not at that level yet. Rock on everyone!

Rock on, Jimmy!

Loved the Trower tune. I sang and played that in almost every rock band I've had since it came out in the 70s.

Still don't know the words...LOL

Thank you sir! Yes it's sometimes difficult to understand Jimmy Dewar with his Scottish accent. Here's the words as I know them:

Too Rolling Stoned

Oh a stitch in time, just about saved me
From going through the same old moves
And this cat has nine
He still suffers
He's going through the same old grooves

But that stone just keeps on rolling
Bringing me some real bad news
Takers get the honey
Givers sing the blues

Too many cooks yeah spoil such a good thing
I know I laughed out loud but that was then
Ain't it funny, a fool and his money
Always seemed to find was those real good friends

That stone just keeps on rolling
Bringing me some real bad news
The takers get the honey
The givers sing the blues

Lead

Well that stone keeps on rolling
Bringing me some real bad news
The takers get the honey
The givers sing the blues

A stitch in time, helps to unfold me
Circus starts at eight so don't be late
Please be so kind not to wake me
I think I'll just sit this one out

Well I'm too rolling stoned
I'm too rolling stoned, yeah
Like a rolling stone
Just, just, just like a rolling stone
Rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling stone
Yeah, too rolling stoned
Oh just like a rolling stone

ha...thanks for that, man.

I wasn't even close. Nobody seemed to notice it for decades. Guess we were all too rolling stoned.

Jimmy I wish I lived closer to play with your cover band, LOL! it would be fun!

I could envision a cool call and response on guitars on the outro of Too Rolling Stoned, one of my all time favorites.

My drummer and I played that one in two or three bands, have done Day of the Eagle, Bridge of Sighs. I always like a Little Bit Of Sympathy, of course those are all from the same album I think.

One other Trower song that I presonally love is Victims of the Fury, in fact I love that whole album.

Good Stuff man, Like I said wish I was there!

Hell yeah John I've done all those at one point except for "Victims". Trower, Iommi and Hendrix were probably the three guitarists I wanted to emulate most when I was young.

I guess it's songs like "I Think I'm In Love" by Eddie Money where I would love to have another guitar player. If you ever move up here you're in John.
