I guess that's a little better Zip, although still nothing I would buy or play. At least the vocals didn't make me cringe.

Flangers and chorus pedals, mayn

yeah...and a heavy pick on roundwound strings. extra "heavy" points for keeping the bass slung real low and using all downstrokes! lol.

'bout the only effect i can roll w on bass is envelope filter for '70's funk stuff. and that can get real old pdq too.

It's so frikin hard to find the New.

I do find songs here and there that I like, but I haven't bought to support anything since the late 90s.

Peg Lautny wrote:You know... i DO get being into "heavy" but that does nothing for me. Boring rhythm, no melody to speak of from the vocal, and little to hold interest going on in the accompaniment. And I'm not a fan of that of that mosquito on steroids wall o' fuzz compressed guitar tone. The bass tone is not much better.

But other than THAT...I LOVE IT! hahaha.

There is plenty of melody from the vocal.
I like his flow.

Yes, it is reminiscent of the limp biz kit / Korn type stuff, BUT he has a different seasoning to it.

The tone of the bass and the complexity of the rhythm isn't an issue for me. It has enough depth and groove.
Not a fan of the guitar tone, but I consider the whole color pallet.

Zip

I liked Amorpus - however, a disclaimer: I'm very shallow and hold my guitars down low... 8)

I always tend to like Finnish Metal - Nightwish, Children of Bodom et al.
