wow, I was just having an argument in another thread about how great I think warren haynes is as a songwriter... never heard him have les and or rocco... that's kickass.

Just curious - in relation to the two down beats on the hi-hat where is the one in Oakland Stroke?

A. is that the song with the real busy bassline that you posted the staff for?
B. not sure how to answer that... Not saying I know any more than anyone else... but... I hear the one right at the spot where you would normally hear the 1 on this type of tune... but I hear what is probably a 64th note rest at the one... and it doesnt' seem like he does this every time...
-honestly... I just wrote this and then went back and looked at the staff...
I swear. The staff showes a 64 note that is carried in by the previous bar... that is exactly what I'm talking about... if he mutes that note... the 64th at the front becomes a rest.

I'll see if I can dig up the actual charts from David Garibaldi for that song.

Did you ever hear of a band called Lettuce? VERY funky, young group of different musicians. Adam Dietch is the drummer - he plays with John Scofield. Here is a link:
