There might be something to that...once in Mexico I got a nasty cold sore on my lip. I got some freash jalepeno pepper and held a slice to the afflicted area for five minutes. The next day the sore was gone.

Talk about "burning it out"..

I'd almost rather strike a match and use that.
Some of those peppers are so hot you just wish you would die.

My mother used to have a vegetable garden and she had no idea what she was doing.

Long story short, she grew a bunch of banana peppers and thought she'd use them in a macaroni salad.

The 4 of us never knew what hit us, the heat was like eating some of the sun. We ended up manning all the water faucets in the house, drinking directly from the spigot and still the heat would not go away.

My stomach is crying merely at the thought of it and every time she comes to visit, we cringe at the thought.

Chippy wrote:If there is something that bites, it will BITE me! All others around me are safe, this is completely true, and verbally documented. Did you know that the good old Daddy Long Legs has killing power? Well it has, the trouble is that it cannot penetrate human skin. (YET). Wasps love Daddy Long legs but they also love me, as do Horse Flies, Spiders, and all manner of stinging or biting beast.

Mind, Dogs love me, as do my brethren, the Cat's, the Goats on the mountain, the cows, one horse that sucked my arm with his teeth and tasted my flesh. Never trusted horses, but he changed my mind. I just gave him my arm, and he took it. Lovely feeling.

An Eagle flew by some weeks ago, and a Woodpecker tells me the news. As does stray Doggy on the street. There's always been a bird of prey, and I've been so lucky to see many just a few feet away. (That's TRUE).

And to the little bird that danced his way down the train station one day, almost on the eve of something new. I wish him well in his new place too.
Because he must have flown by now.

Anyone who remembers me, will remember the Roosters who circled my house! :D And those that lived in the tree, the 9 Peacocks that slept and kept watch over night, even in the coldest of cold.
Maybe I should just roll over and let them walk all over me?

After all............ It seems the biggest bite comes from human kind.

Yours,

Chipfryer

You forgot the Partridge, in the pear tree...
