Hope the gig went well last night! I asked a friend if I could do a few songs solo during one of his breaks last night (regular solo gig he has). HE always asks me up to do some guitar leads during his last set of the night.
Little did I realize the the place was going to be completely dead. Didn't help my nerves, knowing there were about 8 people in the place (including my friend, another friend and the two guys running/bartending the place.

The gig went good, we had a problem with a mic cord to the snare that may have messed up the first couple of songs so we got it replaced and things went fine.

I didnt get any still pictures of this gig for some reason, got some little video clips, hopefully we can sync it with the audio.

One standout song was Whole Lotta Love, as any of you singers know its a tough song vocally, but our singer nailed it better than I have ever heard him do it before, plus we got it on tape, also, for the noise section, our drummer and bassist went into this funk thing, and I did all these wierd noises on top, kinda like the album version, and then we secced into the little guitar solo, and I think I nailed it real close. I cant wait to hear that song.

The crowd was a little down, our goal is to maintain, $600 a night, we have an arrangement with this club and ussually do better, but sat we made $540, not too bad but not what we like to make.

On the other hand the crowd that came pretty much stayed the whole evening and bought a bunch of food, and booze so the bar was really happy, so its all good.

It was kinda weird for me, I have my mixer board dialed in, and sat I couldnt do anything cause our bassist had routed the sound thru his lap top to record. So I couldnt touch anything LOL!

Oh yeah as far as my guitar amp, in the end I just used my Triple Rec head with one 4x12, figured if we were recording it would probably turn out better that way.

One other thing we kinda got into telling jokes the other night.

Our drummer has been having this recurring nightmare.

His mother is Dolly Parton, the only problem she fed him formula!
