I love spiders. The other morning we had a web built (overnight) that was about 8 feet long and 6 feet wide. In the morning dew it was BEAUTIFUL!

Gwen is funny because she is not afraid of hornets but when it comes to spiders she likes me to gently pick them up and find them a new home.

By the way, 2 things Chaeya we have the most deadly spider in the world. Daddy Long legs. Few spiders can actually puncture tough skin, say on hands. The daddy is one of them. I love spiders, cause they kill SKEEETTERS.. I have no compassion for those or any other blood suckers. :)

Glen.

Thanks, Jimmy. I frequently lift the buggers on my fingers and take them out of my shower. I even have my daughters safely taking them outside. When I was a kid, I was horribly afraid of spiders and bees. Now I don't even flinch around them, so I didn't want my kids doing the same.

Talk about misconceptions, I have to frequently get on Cisco because every unidentified spider is a brown recluse - one of the most wrongly identified spiders out there.

I don't know what half of them are, but seriously, squishing the buggers makes me sicker than just putting them outside somewhere.

Jimmy you are right. I was talking about pholcus phalangioides which is a spider. As far as the venom it makes for good print.

The Villa Elaine in Hollywood was a holdover from a better age. Across from the Hollywood Ranch Market and just down the street from the original Brown Derby. Fountain and Vine. The tourists ate it up but folks who lived there were walking on the edge.

Almost everyone was black. After a few very serious confrontations, we pretty much respected each other. Turns out they were there for the same reason I was - to make some music. They called me 'that crazy white boy' so I guess confronting them with a pick handle had an affect.

Adventures?

Getting to hollywood with 200 bucks and a heart full of soul.

Going to Africa to fight in a nasty little war, serving with the Rhodesian AFrican Rifles.

Doing this and doing that and taking one last stab at artistic greatness while my world collapses around me.

But I stay busy...

Vampier wrote:...Haley ... excellent Thread Title. I do not feel that I have done anything extraordinary yet in my life...just lived it in accordance with my beliefs.

But reading your Post ... I salute you and it only makes me respect you all the more. I know that I am not your favourite person but I have always admired your honest directness finding it refreshing and from the heart. I merely wished to relate this to you. Shrug of the criticism you recieve and the spelling/grammar mistakes ... what you relate is important not the "package" of it's presentation. Ta

Vampier, I am sorry you believe I have animosity toward you! Personally I think your intellectual level is (way up there)! I am not being factitious! Sometimes I struggle with my honesty (usually when bourbon is involved) and that is infrequently!
