Not a good thing to get in the habit of Clifford, by "letting everyone figure it out for themselves", you are implying that if they didn't, you wouldn't have posted or informed them of the true writers credits.......this is a serious subject, I'm not making fun of you, but trying to be helpful, yet again, this isn't a game, some folks on my songwriting boards would be furious over this post, you should correct it as soon as possible.

STOP making such a big deal out of everything, lady! I know what plagiarism is, and I'm not such a person.

People like you REALLY need to take a chill pill and to STOP making a big deal out of everything.

And aside from that, look at all the trolls it attracted. Whatever happened to people who respect each other and love each other? Why are people so rude to each other on the internet?

<Cough> AHem!..... Has anybody seen...My old friend Bobby...?

STOP making such a big deal out of everything, lady! I know what plagiarism is, and I'm not the type of person who would do that sort of thing. Since I cover other people's material, common sense should have told you and others that it was other people's work.

Why do people like you make a big deal about everything? Seriously?

I DO understand why you are upset Clifford, because when you don't get your way or feel understood, you lash out, just like you lash out at everyone on this board and probably the other board you are on as well.

You have NEVER CREATED anything. You have never poured your time, money, heart and soul into something to create something that matters to you.

Then, have something you created....stolen......it is something all folks/artists who create have an issue with.

Your original post was a lyric, posted by you with no author and you dedicated it. It appears to those who don't know those songs as "written by you", this could create problems for a fella such as yourself who hangs around in an artistic community that is full of folks who are protective of their creations.

So, ignore it if it makes you feel good, but the four folks that wrote those songs will be much more annoying to you than I can ever be and I am sure if you get in trouble.........you will just go get someone to solve that problem for you.

I alerted you...nicely...on a problem with your post and also told you a solution to solve it. You then turn and get all snippy with me??? As I have said before, you are the most disrespectful imp I've ever come across.

Go ahead and rely on other's "COMMON SENSE" in knowing who wrote these songs and I will promise I will love your bandmix post of "help me find a lawyer".

Sorry to everyone if Clifford makes me lose my temper, maybe I'll post someone's lyric to convey that to all.

No need! Since there appears to be a dearth of original music in this thread, I went ahead and wrote my own song.

Listen to it here:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/22461636/Unrea ... ations.mp3

"Unrealistic Expectations"

It's time to grow up, and someone has to draw the line
You're asking too much, and no one wants to hear you whine

Maybe you don't get that now
It's not my problem, anyhow

But best of luck getting the world to revolve around you
Yeah, best of luck getting the world to revolve around you

Share and enjoy, I don't care what you do with it as long as you give me credit for the original song :)

Mr. Penguin,

I love your original song, I enjoyed the listen very much and it is so very true.

I know that posting to, for and about Clifford is not a good way to spend my time and I really appreciate you giving me back my smile!!

I had visions of everyone on the board coming together to work on a song about Clifford, an original tune that helps us sing our frustrations out...LOL!!!

Thanks for that!

Tammy if that's losing your temper you must think we're all a bunch of escapee's from the local asylums.

By the way i listened to your tunes. Very nice. Cold Dark world is really good. Your tone reminds me a bit of Natalie Merchant.
Nice job.

I was thinking the same thing!

Just goes to show, Clifford - it isn't this place, it's you, because if the nicest person on this forum is annoyed with you ....

Penguin - cute lyrics, can't listen to the tune at work, though. Unfortunately, this is ALL what Clifford wants - attention. Even negative attention gratifies that sick puppy in his head.

Mr. Jahva,

I tend to think you are all men and women with all of the good and bad qualities that go with it and being frustrated is the most human of reactions to this and I am sure we should ALL be in an asylum for one reason or another! LOL!

Thank you so much for listening to my songs, I really appreciate it and I do get the Natalie Merchant thing a lot, but I like her, so I don't mind. I just joined a board to get music to my rock songs, fingers crossed that someone will pick them up, then I can post them on my bandmix, might fit the general population better....LOL!

I have had the pleasure of listening to your songs as well. They are very good, I am enjoying them a lot. I don't think your vocals are crappy at all.

I really can hear all of your influences in music in your song "The End", a very good song and I really like how catchy "Be Here Tonight" is and love the style/genre change in "Bird Has Flown", great stuff!

Love ...Bird has Flown...Its a Gret Tune ! By the way I also agree with tammy about your voice . You have a great voice man... Very solid, nice.

I was also listening to 'The end...' And your intro is very similar to an intro I use in a song I wrote called "Stealing From Eve" Great Minds think alike! ;)

Any wa, I apologize i haven't commented sooner..

IMHO I think your work is absolutely great, Jahva... Keep doing what you are doing...Its very lively, catchy and piques the listener's ear.

Well, at the risk of this turning into the mutual admiration thread...

If I may call you Grant...

I watched your video and that was a very impressive performance, great vocals, your songs are very engaging. I love seeing a 6 minute song, if I write one close to 4 minutes, I get yelled at...LOL

Your songs are very good, I really enjoyed hearing the changing styles and instruments in each song. The vocal is always solid, great lyrics, such wonderful chording.

I really love the sound you created for "Mr Corn Rose", that was a great melody. Such a surprise after your blues performance. "Nordic Dove" and "Homemade Remedies" were both very good listens and hope you move forward with "World Without Flies", that was great!

I have been watching you ALL very carefully to see you perform to help me build up my confidence, I have a demo to record at a studio and I don't sing in front of people, I just do home recordings and no one wants to hear me sing in my immediate circle, so I am trying to talk myself into going to the studio, but I haven't made the call yet......

You are all very inspiring and Grant, you are a very opinionated person and "to the point", but you are very, very talented, it was a pleasure to listen.

Wow Tammy! Thanks... (Blushing now)

Nothing wrong with Mutual Admiration here. As I see it, its a cue for all of us to pay attention to each each other's work. It fosters and reinforces what we breathe and live for... :)

BTW, Hit that studio, and lay down your masterpieces... Its another reason why we live... :) . The folks in your circle, who don't listen to you sing...are probably just being impatient with you...They want to hear your stuff polished and wrapped...The studio, Tammy ... The studio... It calls your name... If you sing there, they will hear...

Indeed I am an opinionated jerk.. I confess it. I am working on it... Our lives are surrounded by collapsing worlds...I just have to get the acid out, lest my songs turn to vinegar... I make no apologies for ever being 'to the point' :)

In fact, I which I could express an entire litany of thought into one or two words...How cool would that be?

JAHVA, I'm sorry, I do not "fear the Clifford" and I think it best that he see that when we visit each others pages, that we can listen and respectfully talk to one another about music. I know he visits everyone's pages, I have seen that, even yours, I believe. No worries, I just want to reply and will move on....I promise.

GRANT,

Thanks for the "pep talk", I appreciate it, I know logically to do it, but I fear the emotional part of me needs a kick in the behind...LOL!!

I hope I didn't offend you on posting my thoughts on yourself, if that came off as rude, I'm sorry, it is just an observation and I think you took that well, I suffer from serious bouts of honesty and observation, but please know that I didn't say "jerk", you did and I don't believe that is exactly what I meant to say.

So, you want to go all Dalai Lama?

I mean, isn't everything always collapsing? The circle of life, civilizations born, people born to grow, hit their peak and decline? I've been in a time of collapse myself and I use my music to keep me moving. Maybe the words you are looking for are "THE END"....LOL!! That's the problem with choosing a few words, could there ever be a word that can encompass all that we think, feel and know?? Good luck with that.

Great thing about music is we can always sing about the good times and the bad. Don't let the bad overwhelm you too much Grant, just inspire you. I know I am in search of folks with brains myself, I have had the greatest luck in meeting some very intelligent lyricists....most from Texas...must be something in the water down there, but very great conversations and music.

I listen to other folks music every day, from all over the world, I have heard some great stuff being made in people's homes, but I have seen some great talent on this board, so I am inclined to hang around and see if any of it soaks into my skin.
