Wasn't it RIVER MONSTERS where that one guy was trying to catch catfish that were taking children and eating them as they swam?

I'd bet they were around that size...(gulp)

I believe that was in Africa or Asia. There's a freshwater ray that lives in the Mekong River that grows well over 1,000 lbs. That guy on River Monsters hooked one and got it right near the surface when it busted his rod and reel. He think he suffered some kind of permanent arm or shoulder injury from it.
