Never liked FB.

I have a torrent of friends who think it's ok to text and write on FB while we are all hanging out.

It got so bad I told off a guy I know because I just don't see being around when people want to write on FB or text for 30 minutes at a time.

You wouldn't have a long phone call while your friends are about, well when you text like mad or type away at a computer while they are in attendance, be forewarned WE ALL NOTICE AND NO ONE LIKES IT>.

I.E> If you are to do that, go outside like you have to fart or some such..

FB, LOL!

I have found that letting people know about my bands gigs are a cinch on there, and actually we have had good response from that approach, its free and its easy, so I wouldnt dismiss FB from a band standpoint.

Ive pretty much stopped letting people know what Im up to on there, cause my wife and I would always run into some stupid female who thought she knew everything about me, and it would just cause trouble with my wife, so I learned to use it in moderation, where as some people i know seem to live on FB, and post about everything, sometimes its just too much info to be making public, so be careful what you post and who you friend on there is all I can say.

My friends and I use facebook for pretty much quick social chats or music promotion. It is a data mining site so most the stuff on my page is very incorrect.

I drop in here now and then and generally see something interesting. The guy I record with contacted me from BM so I have found it an okay thing.

Used to have a FB account. Never saw much of anything interesting on there. Plus everything I've read about FB privacy issues, NSA connections, etc, etc. Without trying to hurt feelings, I got tired of seeing whose cat had kittens, what their children were up to, who is making "friends" with who, and things I had no time for or interest in. Maybe from a band point of view, or for merchants it can be useful. Reconnected with some people from school days and such. Otherwise it seems a place people either get bored with or addicted to for some reason. I was in the bored list.
