Obviously it pays also to be circumspect. Trust everyone but lock your car and carry a 1911.

Yeah Bob ... after all, I am just a man.
. Most likely a righteous man, but it is not for me to make that determination.
I try to do right by God's law but it's tough for a sinner like me.
Most thumpers would sh*t green if they heard the sins I've reveled in.
Beauty is, Jesus has my back.
. I have a religious/philosophical question. When you say Jesus has your back, do you BELIEVE Jesus has your back, or do you KNOW Jesus has your back.
I don't even use the word "believe" any longer when discussing or attempting to describe my faith because the modern connotation of "believe" would indicate some room for doubt.
I know Jesus has my back and I'm doing my best to walk in his light despite my sinful nature.
The Lord God speaks to me through the Spirit now like no time before in my life.
That is what I want to convey through my music.
I don't know if I will every truly walk in his light... All I know is that I try... I don't really care what the world thinks of it...at the end of the day, its down to me and Jesus working it out.
Belief or Knowing... That's just a matter of semnatics and hair splitting...I'd be a liar if I told you I had NO doubts. I doubt every day...but conversely to what you said about implying doubt, Having doubt would also suggest faith. No matter how we label the struggles, it comes down to us being "IN" or "OUT" ..
I have a feeling that It is better to be a heinous, lowly thief, who then seeks the path of light, than to be a model citizen, squeaky clean, who thinks he's already found it...
